1917 (2019) please and thank you
Curveball: Watch Halloween 2018! I mean, I'm cool with all of the films listed, I just want you to watch the "real" sequel to Carpenter's Halloween. I think it's a decent film. JLC is great in it, and the soundtrack is awesome.
The Fly. If it doesn't win the poll please watch it after you watch the movie that wins the poll.
Why they didn't call it " A Quieter Place" i do not know...
I don't do horror. It is the most manipulative of all genres and its films are made by sadists.
I know this is a poll for a movie to watch, but I would like to suggest a series I think you will enjoy. It is on Amazon prime the name is "The Marvelous Ms. Maisel". It won 6 Emmy, 4 Golden Globe and 6 Critics' Choice. I do not want to give away the plot so I've been very vague.
I was going to recommend that as well.
I have this sneaking suspicion that there are a lot of people here who look at these polls, see one movie out of the four offered that they've seen, then vote for that film and enthusiastically champion it in the comments. They gush about it as though it's a great film, when it's actually just the only one they're familiar with and their enthusiasm is really just excitement that they know any of the films and that they get to participate in the selection process and have something to say. You can see this borne out when somebody talks about a by the numbers, mediocre film as though it's the best thing ever in its genre, that it was so scary and so amazing an experience, they just loved it. You can see clearly that they are unaware of the decades of films preceding this new one that have created endless tropes and cliches that make the film they're gushing over so derivative and ordinary. But vote for it they will, which is why I'm glad to see Nat watch some stuff that she's just picked out for herself. Because if it's all about the polls, the films that will always win are the ones marketed to the youngest and least experienced, which means we're always trapped with films made for teenagers.
I feel like this is an extremely cynical take. There are many great films out there, and of course people will gravitate towards the films they've seen and/or believe are good. No one person is going to have seen every movie Nat is going to toss into these polls. There's no need to comment in attempts to bring other's down simply over a movie vote. You imply that every person who votes against what you'd like to see her react to, are dimwitted or without taste. Just move on.
I voted for M3GAN because I want to see Natalie’s reaction to that movie more than the others. A Quiet Place Part 2 is a decent horror sequel with some tension and jump scares. The Fly is a sci-fi horror classic but I anticipate a lot of cringey faces and whining about the gore. I don’t think I’ve seen the the other one — maybe I’ll check it out myself. I watched M3GAN in the theatre and own it; I’ve watch it numerous times and it’s a great modern take on the “evil doll” horror sub-genre. I’m confident Natalie will enjoy it… Hopefully it’ll win a future poll, or Natalie decides to watch it anyway. Speaking of modern horror films that won’t win a Patreon poll but Natalie should watch anyway is SMILE (2022). It’s not as meme-able as M3GAN but it is super-creepy and has a crazy climax!
No One Will Save You is the second best movie on this list but nobody knows about it. Go in blind. don't read anything. Enjoy.
I think just watch NO ONE WILL SAVE YOU a movie I only discovered because you put it on a poll. It’s fun and original and silly scary and deserved a wider audience when it came out.
I think that Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) is a movie Nat would like.
Bruh all of these are better than a Quiet Place 2 😭 the first one was amazing but the second just doesn’t hold any water The Fly tho! Such a classic, amazing practical effects, Jeff Goldblum AND Geena Davis being hot as hell, and it’s also where the iconic quote “Be afraid. Be very afraid.” comes from 🙏🏻🫡
I love where he keeps all the bits that start falling off? To this day I never look in anyone's medicine cabinet!
The Fly is a 100% classic that eventually you should watch.
M3gan is awesome. But im fine with a quiet place winning.
It’s the sequel
It's a shame M3GAN is losing so badly. It's so much fun.
M3GAN is hysterical! Dances on ALL the tropes and still retains it's originality!
I suspect Natlie doesn't realize what a hottie Jeff Goldblum was when he was younger. Vote for the FLY so she will understand! Plus, you know, great story and special effects. Classic Sci-Fi. Sci-Fly.
No one will save you is SO good. You'd love that movie. I'm sad it's losing
Agreed. That movie was a sleeper hit IMO.
Happy wednesday nat hope you're doing well . Went for quiet place 2 so you can finally finish the story . Megan isn't scary so you would be fine with that , the fly is gross AF no snacks if that wins but regardless hope you enjoy whatever wins 👌
Happy Wednesday Nat. Hope you're doing good. Going for The Fly this time. There's a real buzz about that movie 😄 Have a great day 💛
M3GAN is DogShit unless yer watching the Urrated/UnCut version, an' even then, iss kinda eh🤷♂️
Yeah cuzz ''rotten tomatoes'' means anything, especially these days.... 8=✊=D💦
Second for event horizon. Not sure I would even call these horror movies tbh.
M3gan is good lol if you ever watch it make sure it’s the unrated version
For future Polls, how about a Space Psychological Thriller... Event Horizon!?
This is a great movie.
bring back it follow!
The fly or m3gan hopefully
Just thinking about the practical effects in The Fly makes my stomach hurt.
Which version of the fly?
Which version of The Fly?
I’m never watching The Fly again! I got nightmares from that movie..geesh 😅😅😆
I really hope M3GAN wins or comes back for another poll. It's just so freaking good!
You HAVE to watch M3gan at some point
Why would anyone vote for Quiet Place 2?
Solid sequel
I fully recommend smile.
A quiet place 🙌
Almost voted for M3GAN, then I saw The Fly was in the poll.
No One Will Save You is fantastic.
