Poll: How do you decide if the update is worth getting?

Sup everyone? How's it going?
So, I've been wondering something for a while that I need to ask everyone about... What exactly makes you get the new update, whenever I make one of those?
I've always made the changelog more just to sorta document what happens, but whenever i forget to update it, it doesn't take many seconds before someone has asked me about it.
That made me wonder, how exactly does all y'all determine if its worth your time?
So the answers are between getting it based on if you like what's in the changelog, whether you always get it, you're just constantly subbed even on the waiting months, or if you wait for it to go public.
And then, since Kim is far and away the most popular, I think it would be interesting to see how many only really care about the ones where she appear.
I don't usually do these market surveys lol, but I really did start to wonder.

Always give a changelog, it tells your players what's new, which is especially valuable in a free roam game, and it shows your work, both to players and yourself.
Oh, dw, I would never remove it. I was just curious about how much it actually does.
I am here permanently but I only actually download the update if I check the change log and there’s Bonnie content
Well, you'll love next update then ^^
There’s lots of minor reasons. Update seems large, there’s a particular storyline I enjoy being pushed such as potential with Hope, Bonnie and Tara because while Kim is the mainstay.. you know that it will eventually revolve around her. Those other characters are more unique flavors that have more story elements tied to the writer and creator. Time and other factors are also an element.
Haha, yeah that makes a lot of sense. Time is always a factor. For that reason, july tends to have very few players because everyone is off on vacations or outside. I'm happy every girl is liked by different people xD Though it can make it a bit rough on what to focus on
I've been here permanently :) Have stayed because your artwork AND the storyline have always been good. For me, the more girls the better, it's not just about any one of them but content for all. We all have our favorites (Tara and Hope for me).
Yeah :D I appreciate it. Well, good news, we aren't finished with adding girls lol. And Tara and Hope will get a lot of focus soon enough
Truth be told i landed here out of the blue through a promo you did with someone so right now I'm in the "wait till it's free" camp but so far i'm impressed with the project as whole so i'll be more than interested in contributing in the future when finances allow
Heh, the promos work. That's why they are worth doing ^^ Never really understood how some pages get so massive without promos and with every post locked behind paywall
I usually join when the price go 5 or below
I nearly always go in for a new update. Sometimes sooner, somtimes later. But I would love if it would be easier to see the new changelog. For example the latest patchnotes within the Discord are from Patch 21, if I remember correctly.
Hmm... I'll try to make them more visible. I thought putting them on the download links would work. Maybe I should just start pasting them to the bottom of my posts...
I'd love to get the update each time, but im the type that likes to start the game fresh to experience new content, and I'd get burnt out doing that too often.
that makes sense lol. An entirely new playthrough every time would be rough. Luckily for you I improve the older parts of the game pretty regularly
I always read change logs on any game.
That makes sense. I also always read changelogs, though for me its just to know whats new lol
I bought the game on Itch so I just wait for the update to release there
personally i look at my bank account, if i decide if i have enough money, i pay for it at like 5 euro ish. if i dont have enough money i wait for it to be free. recently its been wait for it to be free. this is the case for every game like this btw
yeah, it happens. Especially during January seems to be a pretty rough time for most people ^^
For me personally, I always check the changelog before putting money into an update. Not really because I'm not willing to support a dev if they aren't big changes, but more because there are several adult games I support, and I'm not filthy rich, so I have to budget where my money goes. In my mind spending my money when progress is made on a game hopefully encourages active development and engagement from the devs. I've seen WAY too many partially completed games abandoned, and several games heavily marketed with huge monthly earnings that feel like the dev is just there to string donors along as long as possible and soak up as much revenue as they can, not really caring about the game they're creating. Long rambling post, I know, but it seemed like a serious question so I figured some serious thought should go into the response.
Same for me. I follow dozens of creators and can only pay for so much at once.
I just kinda wait until there are a few that stack and I happen to have free time if that makes sense.
Understandable. I also tend to wait with updates myself... At least if the game updates faster than every 6 months
Ann is my favorite in this game so if she’s part of the update I get it as soon as possible
Atm I'm figuring out if Ann should have another solo update or if I should chill on that. There's still quite a bit to do on day 2 of that hotel thing, plus I wanna add a bit to day 1.
