Hello, everyone. A tragedy just struck my country yesterday with two earthquakes. The first one with 7.2 in magnitude was followed by a 7.5 stronger shock just 39 seconds after the first one. The results are basically a catastrophe we haven't seen in a very long time.

In this image, you can see the epicenter with the star, right next to the foreshock, and the 2 subsequent aftershocks with magnitudes of 4.5 and 4.4. This information is from the US Geological Service.

My family and I are safe. But many casualties are being reported by the minute. Entire buildings were destroyed, people are losing their homes, disappearing, and hospitals are collapsing with the injured. It's total chaos.

As I said, where I live is safe, so I can keep working as usual. And I'm trying to figure out a way to help from where I am.

A Way To Help

In the state I live in, there are many collection centers receiving products to be sent to the families being affected by the tragedy. If you want to help, I will be gathering products like bottled water, canned food, hygienic products, medical supplies, etc. And bring them to these aid centers so they can be delivered directly to the people who need them.

For the moment, I can't travel to the affected area because traffic is being controlled for the flow of aid and rescuing teams to be as optimal as possible. So, this is the way I can do my part for these people.

If you want to help, you can look for official donation channels like this GoFundMe:

Or you can also send money to my PayPal account, and I will make sure to send you proof of the supplies I buy and send to the Aid centers with photos and bills:

Even helping with just one dollar is a big help, either through official channels or through my PayPal account. If you cannot help with money, you can also help by sharing this with your friends and family, so this information gets to as many people as possible. Even praying if you are religious can be of help.

Thank you again for reading this, and I hope you have a great week.
