Development Pipeline: Inferno Ravager Mating Display WIP

Don't like this one...

Have to say me either. It is basically more boring version from flame stalker's

I dont like very much this animation, honestly. I need more...

why does it remind me of an ostrich mating display? love it <3

Looking at this again, I'm wondering if it would look better as a courtship display if the inferno ravager were to point its head upward, which would expose the throat/neck and resemble a lot of birds' courtship displays. While you could add bright colors to the throat to explain this emphasis, the purpose is that it shows the target of the wyvern's courtship that this is not a threat. It also shows off more of the colorful chest. In other words, wings down, tail and head pointing up.

With it splaying the wings like this, I'd expect some sort of interesting and/or colorful patterning on the wings as well as the tail/chest to draw the attention of a potential mate. Another thing to consider, if not for the inferno ravager then for other dragons, is the idea of some birds/other creatures being able to inflate/otherwise make brightly colored parts larger in their courtship displays. What if it had a throat/chest sac that expanded and possibly even used that to make special courtship sounds (i.e. the prairie chicken)?

oh i love this. i like that its showing off its tail plumage and brightly colored chest. cant wait to see it on different skins

Feedback: the way that the dragon is pressing its wings forward, creating a shield with its wings and pressing its head forwards and downwards makes it look like a common threatening display. Maybe move its head backwards and make it look like its pressing its jaw against it's chest, similar to how most lizards and birds do it, could make it less threatening.

Looks pretty good what's a rough ETA?

Showing off those big strong wings. You can just hear the bass rummble from their chest.
