I'm working on a new framework update for CE; squashing some bugs, adding some new fun achievements, extending the LootBucks store, etc.
The reason I’m starting this poll is because, during my time analyzing error logs across various forums and Discord servers, I’ve noticed that a good chunk of users only have the framework installed, without any additional content like videos or figurines added.
I find this a bit worrisome, because without the extra content, the framework feels somewhat barebones and doesn’t really deliver the fun user experience I intend it to. Because of that, I’ve decided to significantly increase the amount of included figurines (by about 25-30, these would be selected from the lineup already released as Patreon rewards), and also add around 3-5 videos as well (again, selected from the already existing lineup) to help cover different tastes/orientations out of the box.
Now, the question is:
What would you prefer?
Have the extra content incorporated directly into the framework package file, like it is now.
This would mean an easier install/update process, but a larger framework package file size, and you wouldn’t be able to remove content you don’t want included.Have the extra content just added separately into the already included VIDEOS and MINIFIGS folders.
This would let you easily remove content you don’t want, but it would require you paying a bit more attention every time updating the framework.
To clarify. In both cases there will still be one framework zip file to download - like it is now. The question is about the data distribution within.

I would LOVE if you put the Vids and stuff as PART of what you downloaded when you updated.....I honestly LOVE this mod but downloading all the vids separately gives me a headache I don't have time to deal with.
If you go on my Loverslab page, right click on the green Download button, then open it in a new browser tab, then you can just middle mouse click on the buttons to quickly download all the files you want. It takes like a minute to do so, and you only have to do it once, as the video packages are rarely updated anyways.
Selfishly I have to vote for option 2. I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place with my C: drive right now and can't afford to have the base frameworks any larger than they already are, so it would be best if I still had the option to personally curate exactly what few videos I have included. I totally get where you're coming from, though. It's weird that so many people seem incapable or unwilling to actually read the download page, as you make it pretty clear that the additional content packs are where the meat of the mod is located.
Would be better to keep them as seperate package files as I prefer to choose myself which ones I use and which ones not. I prefer Addons over too much stuff integrated in the framework.
I'll still need to bake into the framework about 6 figs each from the 3 series to make 100% sure the mod doesn't error out during box openings + the (at the moment) 22 reward/festival figs, so that's like 40 total that is a must include.
This is so hard, I keep flipping back and fourth. Both options have there benefits. I just know it will be amazing like everything you turn out :)

Personally I like the ability to refine what figurines you have in your collections.
I kinda want both. Option 1 for those who just want it easy. And then option 2 for people who want a more tailored experience. But if I have to pick option 2

Honestly I would love to have more figurines, but the reason why I don’t is that I couldn’t be bothered to comb through everything. Maybe a better way to find/download figurines and videos could help with this, or I just didn’t find the place where I can see them all and select what to download

As a third option, perhaps as a small "free addons pack"? We could then download all in a smaller download and pick and choose from the elements within?
Hard no. :D The whole point of me wanting to add more stuff is so, that I want the average user to have it by default with the framework. In one zip download.
2, hands down. It would make it way easier for me to get the videos cuz it horribly tiresome to grab one by one 😂
Ich bin für 1 ,weil ich eh alle Figuren und Videos haben möchte ( Lacht ) Denn alle meine Sims sind Sammler und gucken regelmäßig Pornos! Was haben die Sims nur früher ohne Pornos gemacht ? ;-)
Da EA bereits schon viel Sammelobjekte ins Spiel gebracht hat, stimme ich für Option 2
Personally, I prefer option 2 as it allows me to just select the male figurines, especially Ryan Jostling ones, and gay themed videos.
There will still be some content - like the ads/promos on the tv channels, and some figurines - that will be baked into the framework package itself regardless, as it needs a certain amount of minimal content to function error free.
