Next project! 🌸
So for the next project I pivoted to I'm working on a vaguely Selkie-inspired gown ✨ Mostly something pink and voluminous to usher in the springtime and give me something floofy for my wardrobe!
The main fabric is a bedsheet I thrifted and on top of that I've layered a sheer pink voile to make it softer and dreamier.
I also decided to carve some lino blocks so I can add some custom pattern design to the bedsheet. I decided on a unicorn theme because I'm very upset that Selkie has the AUDACITY 😤
Because I don't know where to stop I'm also adding some embroidery to the neckline and bottom of the sleeves!

I can't wait to get this assembled! It's been a while since I made a dress for the heck of making a dress and I do want to go for a frolick at the botanical gardens wearing this 🌸

Genuinely thought you were talking about the folklore at first, and was Really Confused by all the pink lol ETA: The blockprinting is absolutely unbearably beautiful. I can't cope [especially since I have a deepseated love for The Last Unicorn and cry every single time I watch it]
