Alderian News! (Big recap)
Hey guys, now that the update is out, I wanted to talk about and recap a couple of things and our plans moving forward.
First and foremost, we hope you’ve all enjoyed or will enjoy the latest update when it’s out. This was our first time depicting a major battle in Parasite Black and I hope we managed to seriously capture the chaos of it, we also hope, the lewd content was spicy enough for you, there’s plenty more to come. 😉
We have a lot of exciting plans for the future, but I just wanted to touch base and talk through some of the many changes and things these past couple months that have occurred.
Just so you guys know, the steam and itch release of the game 21ST of July.
Artwork news:
We had a lot of technical difficulties surrounding this update, most notably, one of our artists was struggling to deliver work due to external circumstances beyond anyone’s control. We did everything we could to try and work around and accommodate them, but in the end, at the artist’s request, it was agreed the situation was untenable, and they have since resigned.
In their place, we now have hired the amazing Aelty and Shamp Shamp to fill in the void, and you will get to see more of their amazing art soon. (The final scene involving a certain Batgirl was done by Shamp Shamp!)
Translation news:
Yes, after much discussion and request, I can confirm we will be increasing and commissioning some official translation work on top of what we already do. This will include Chinese, Japanese, and whatever else we can accommodate. This will take a few months to complete and integrate, but it is on the way!
Coding news:
As well as hiring new arts staff, we will be hiring additional coders and restructuring how we handle our coding system in a way that will hopefully speed up production and result in smoother releases.
Wasn’t this supposed to be the Regina update?
There was initially more Regina content planned… A lot more. But unfortunately, due to the staffing issues compounded by the scale of this update already quite overwhelming us, we simply had to cut some content… (for this release, anyway, whatever is cut now will be added into a future update, rest assured.) Regina will be getting her due in a subsequent release with a lot more of her content. I do have some unfinished Regina pieces from the artist that left that will not see the light of day as the artist left before they could finish that I will now have to have re-done by our new artists.
Clearing up some misconceptions:
One thing I have noticed is there seems to be a growing number of misconceptions about the development that I would like to squash and address now.
1.) First and foremost, there seems to be a misconception about how many people are actively working on Parasite Black. Until this point, the credits have included everyone who has come and gone on the project since its conception in 2020. To clear this up, as of 6/16/2025, this is the current staff list.
TheMaskedMan – coder
Lostraven – lead dev and writer
Shamp Shamp – Artist
Aelty – Artist
Laneon – Artist
Stanivuk – Artist
Kaizeron – Musician
Jim – co-founder and marketing director
Shroeinbug – Animator
Tear0609 – Translator/general assistant
As stated before, we are looking into shortly hiring additional staff, especially coders.
2.) Not really relevant to you guys, this one, but just to be clear: - The patreon/suscribestar builds DO NOT get more content than the steam releases. Patrons and subscribestars pay a monthly cost to play the build prior to it launching to Steam. This is essential for us, as this early release often comes with many bugs we need to squash, however, the final product that arrives on Steam when updated, is identical content wise… It’s simply (hopefully), more polished and bug-free.
We hope this has helped clear up some things, if you have any more questions feel free to ask them, and we will try to address them.
Thank you all so much for your support,
Without you guys, none of this would be possible,
Love,
-The Damned Studios Team

Please just incorporate an early access beta/unstable (Its already early access so I dont get why this is necessary) option in steam.
Wait no way we have to wait until July 21st to play it on steam. Shits wild.
Bruh come on I been waiting for this update so long, 1 fu*king month really? WTF
Our monthly tier supporters receive the game first. They help us with various bug-fixes which, hopefully, when the update arrives onto Steam/Itch, should be a polished and (mostly) bug-free experience.
Can’t wait to play 🍻
Keep up the good work!
Hi! What are your plans for the full release? No matter how big this update is, it's been about half a year since the last update. At this rate, both you and we will simply burn out (many long-term projects on Patreon still haven't reached the finals and, frankly, never will).
We're currently in the middle of some internal restructuring to improve workflow and quality. This update took exceptional long, admittedly, but I'm hoping we can move forward much stronger in the future. As per our pledge, though, PB will remain in production for several years.
