You got me at the end, Great work Jack.
Great piece. A true great who oddly enough suffered from a lack of hype. Unreal heart, unstoppable chin, and the skill level as Slacky wrote here is unbelievable and underappreciated - just complete mastery. I just rewatched his fight with Bennie Briscoe (one of the toughest fighters of all time) and that fight compelled me to comment here. I could ramble for three pages in this comment. I put him Hagler up there with Sugar Ray Robinson. So sad to see him go. This article did Marvelous Marvin justice, thank you.
The ending was beautifully written
Thanks for this
Very well done. Such an interesting figure. I love that he left when he did, on his terms. The history of the golden age/s of boxing is very interesting. It's before my time but they still echo on and on. Love the waxing poetic at the end there. Hagler seems like he was a good/great man. 16~ minutes is a perfect listen for well written content.
This was one of your best, the end really got me. Thank you!

let me go pratice stance switching of a lil shuffle rn.
I'm never hand fighting ever again, thank you Jack
This makes me want to go back and watch more of his fights
