The Thiago Marreta of reading it better!
Such a fun read. I appreciate the voice over too, sometimes I love to listen to them. If you haven't given actually reading the articles a try yet, definitely worth the effort. I hadn't until this one and it's definitely a different experience than just listening.
Joined for this piece and was not disappointed.
I think both of them have a high ceiling and if they take this lesson to heart, they can improve greatly from it. If they had more experience, they might have had a plan B or C. Of course having a plan B or C and being able to recognize what is happening to you and move to the next tactic is fairly rare in mma. It separates the good from the great in my opinion. Great post as always Jack. Cheers!
This is a good one. My thought on the main and comain is thay experience matters, big time. Both Costa and Reyes ars still so early in their careers and they have something special they are able to do against most of the competition they have faced. In the case of Reyes, he can set distance traps and pull people onto his left hand. In the case of Costa it has been to pressure and wilt his opponents with hard flurries to the body. Both of them saw their favored tactics shut down. Jan refused to overpursue Reyes and instead stayed patient and advanced to attack only when Reyes wasn't prepared to vacate the space and counter. You spelled out the Costa thing better than I could here
