The challenges of voice acting
Hello Freshmen,
Many of you have been asking about the voice acting in Season 3, so I'll be updating you.
In seasons 1 and 2 we had a system, which is being reworked to overcome some obstacles.
Challenge 1: Taking care not to make the story too rigid.
During the development of Season 2, we received feedback that the story was poor.
And this happened in part because of the stiffness that occurs after a scene receives voice acting.
The scriptwriting team refuses to:
Review the bad scenes and dialogue, since we already paid for them to be dubbed.
Changing scenes at the last minute is not feasible, as dubbing at the last minute is unfeasible.
The result was that the Season 2 storyline became rigid, as any changes to the story would be very costly to re-record the dialogue.
And so it ended up worse than Season 1. To recap, Season 1 was made entirely without dubbing, and we only added dubbing a year after its release. And I remember that when we did that, we changed several English texts, and I saw a lot of feedback saying that the text was worse.
So we had to abandon the old work methodology and start a new one that is still in progress.
Challenge 2: Increase productivity by 50 times.
While in Season 2 we were writing 500 words per week, in Season 3 we are writing 12,500 words per week.
With this change alone, voice productivity will need to increase 25 times.
But since we've already used half the development time, the actresses will have to do 100% of the game in 50% of the time.
Therefore, this doubles the load once again, bringing the total to 25,000 words to be voiced per week.
Challenge 3: The actresses are freelancers and work on multiple projects.
Some actresses are professionals and work with precise deadlines and great efficiency.
Other actresses, however, have a slower pace and may not be able to meet the deadlines we set.
By demanding 50 times greater productivity, I fear some will be late.
And perhaps some of the actresses need to be replaced.
And usually the community cries and panics when we have to replace even one actress due to delays.
We continue the work doing the best we can.
We have 2 team members working on one problem at a time, but since the game's development is accelerating, there are no guarantees that we'll be able to dub everything in time.
From today until the full Season 3 launch, the team has 70 working days on Season 3 (after accounting for holidays and vacations). And the game is projected to have 260,000 words.
But in the long run, I have faith that the team will succeed, even if the voices aren't ready until after the launch.
See you in class.

Just to clarify, there WILL be voice acting in the end, yes? I don't mind waiting if it means its done right. There aren't many AVNs that to voice acting, even fewer are the number of ones that do a good job of it. The game would definitely be missing something without it.
I believe there will be. At first, we doing voice acting in Brazilian Portuguese because we found a very good studio to do the whole job.
On a side note I really hope we “get to see riko” in this season 😉🔥
This is why, when you are doing a product or service, you should do some testing. Your game is on Patreon. As such, you have backers at certain tiers who should be able to help you test the game's playability. Make no mistake, they would be humbled to do so. They probably could have given you that feedback while the dubbing team was still dubbing the game. You could have made the corrections while they were still under the same contract, and yes, the game would have been delayed further, but as long as you are transparent about the reason why and the facts that justify the decision, your fan base and backers would more than likely be fine with the decision. Doing things this way could have saved you money, time, and unnecessary hassle. And yes, I agree with Cliophanes, but for future endeavors, you may want to utilize the resources you have more efficiently.
Hi, Dante. Since Chloe's Desire express, we have a small group of players that give us feedback for every each update. They are called OppaiLovers. Also, every update we have the feedback option! - Umbreon John
I would glad to help with voice overs, but there are 2 design flaws on my part, I am a male, and I have a thick Hispanic accent 🤣
Your gender should not matter when it comes to voice acting. Bart Simpson in the show The Simpsons is voiced by Nancy Cartwright, and Edna Mode from The Incredibles was voiced by male voice actor Brad Bird. The only thing that should matter is if you can mimic a voice and make it seem natural. If you are trying to get into voice acting and are limited to only male voices, then the limitations are purely self-induced.
If you have to have voices, add incrementally. Great voice acting might set you apart. Anything less is a time suck and just pissing money away. IMO, voice is more a nuisance than benefit and I turn it off or all the way down anyway. But that's solely my opinion.
Absolutely not the thing to stall the hotshot development on the game over. Release it full, then add incrementally. Why do people complain so much, I don't understand.
As long as we get a voice over eventually, I think we have nothing to complain about. It is amazing that you guys are even willing to commit to a voice over with so many characters and so many lines. You deserve nothing but respect for that!
When will we get complete season 3. Will it be during september, october?
2026 Q4. I'll announce a precise date in a few months.
After full release of season 3 probably how many days you need replace all voice acting s to game and publish that as supporter edition?
