Hello Hexatail, First of all, I truly want to thank you for creating such a high-quality game. We all really enjoy it. However, our support is not without contribution on our part. It may not be a huge amount, but I believe providing regular progress updates is the bare minimum of respect you can show to the players who continue to support you. When our support is met with complete silence, followed by such a long wait, I have to ask myself—perhaps selfishly—why should I keep looking forward to anything? Why not simply come back three years from now, or even five years from now, when there is finally an update? Even at the minimum tier, $24 a year can buy quite a few games. And many supporters have been supporting you for more than two years. You continue to consume the patience and expectations of your supporters, yet you don't even offer the simplest and least costly thing in return: communication. I'm disappointed to say that I've decided to stop supporting the project and walk away.

The game itself is great, but the wait is just way too long. At this point, people who don’t care about following every update could simply subscribe once every six months or even once a year and still get essentially the same value. Meanwhile, those of us who keep paying continuously don’t even get regular progress updates or any real sense of what our ongoing support is worth. Isn’t that incredibly disappointing?

No hate intended but we were promised updates every 2-3 weeks, I understand work can be overwhelming but it’s not like you need to explain yourself writing multiple paragraphs every update. If you had just writen a few lines, updating us that this game is well and alive we’d be more than satisfied. But leaving us in the dark, whether that’s due to guilt or not is not the way to move forward. Leaving your subscribers like this does nothing but to expect more from an update as you seem too busy to even update us. What are you going to do if we aren’t satisfied? My advice, doesn’t really matter what you do with it, use this patreon page as a journal. Theres a creator like yourself named Strawer. They work on a similar game called Lucky Paradox, it has the similarities as Agent17. They make sure to update whatevers going on, whether it’s about the game or personal life, there’s always an update from them. Whatever you have going on, tell us, use us as a journal, whether it’s struggling to complete the update because it’s too much work so you’ll need more time or you have something going on in your life so you’ll have to pause on working on the update, don’t be afraid to let your subscribers down. Not every post has to be about the next update.

Hello Hexatail Team, First of all, I would like to thank you for all the hard work and passion you are putting into this project. Many of us in the community are incredibly excited about the upcoming update and truly appreciate the effort that goes into creating something of this scale. I noticed that on May 28th you mentioned that the update was approximately 55% complete. Seeing that progress indicator was very motivating because it gave the community a better understanding of how development is progressing. I was wondering if it would be possible to update the progress from time to time or provide a rough estimate on the homepage. It doesn't have to be an exact release date, but some form of guidance would help players understand where things currently stand. Right now, we don't know if the project is still around 55% complete or if significant progress has been made since then. I also believe that more visibility into the development progress could encourage additional community support. Many people are willing to financially support projects they are passionate about, but it's much easier to make that decision when there is a clearer picture of the progress being made and the road ahead. Thank you again for your dedication, your time, and the amazing work you are doing. We are all looking forward to seeing what you have prepared for us and wish you the best of luck with the remaining development. P.S. One more very important thing: I sincerely hope Alice gets what she deserves in the next update. 😄 I don't know how you managed it, but she is easily one of the most frustrating characters I've ever encountered. AI Music is seriously the best use of AI tools for AVN games. Being able to have characters sing to music you wrote or otherwise created for their character without having to shoehorn someone else's music into the scene was one of the first things I thought of when AI music generation became a thing. I've seen other games embrace this for the better as well. Vastly improving the quality of scenes.

I don't mind AI implementation as long as it's not for character designs or writing. If it makes the process easier/smoother i don't think most people mind if textures or background pieces are done with AI tools. Music is a bit of a gray area for me personally, but at least use it for production and not composing itself, simple background tunes are fine though

For all of those who perhaps haven’t been a subscriber for so long - I think it’s history is important here when seeing WHY these updates take so long. Creating selectable options and the game play layout is very hard in Ren’Py games. Also creating this type of game is very difficult to do while also creating quality options. Most adult games opt out of creating this format and just turn to scrolling reading scenes with brief vivid animations as opposed to Hexatail’s system that plays like an actual game with theme music. Also Hexatail’s team is Tiny given creative legal adult content limitations on where they 🇰🇷 live , reliability and openness about. Another thing to think is this is a GROWING game with multiple story capabilities that can be started at Anytime and not just played through like chapter’s, on the backend the makes that way more difficult. So it’s like creating an interactive movie where Hexatail is the director. Scene’s have to be broken down and then more options given per scenario to provide originality and not redundancy. Also lastly the most Important part on the history and the current version of things that also regard the competition of other games - that have bigger teams. Hexatail is looking to create a more robust experience that can be played over and over with accuraling systems without a major graphics over haul (more stressful on video card and larger files). So they are constantly CHanging how the game functions and making it better everytime. Development of concepts, fulfilling character uniqueness by giving depth to their storyline without damaging the quality of play with other Characters or MC, promoting the game, adding team members etc. It’s a living world 🌍 that is being built piece by piece, so the authenticity takes time, as opposed to making something quick. My advice: Unsubscribe and come back later if you don’t want to wait. It’s just a game (and a great one at that) OR you can stick it out, keep yourself busy. Either way have fun & enjoy yourself. Just remember there’s a method to the madness and the 55% is because he’s trying to rebuild the character storyline and many other holes in resources to convert to the new system and build out the characters properly. No matter which character is your favorite (so far), remember it takes work to make quality content- especially if you want to include characters in future scene so that don’t contradict previous developments.

I'll be honest. I did stay a paying member for a very, very long time. Surely i paid an amount woth 4-5 full prize console games. I still hope, your project works out. But after the last exhausting process, my patience was gone. And right now i am in financial difficult situation. So i did cancel the subscription. Two months without progress/updates, i just couldnt accept that anymore. If that happens again and again, you cant be mad, if someone doesnt want to support anymore. But when my situation is getting better and i see, that the project is going on better, in the future, surely i will come back. Until then i stay as a free member. I am against hate and bad pressure.
