A PATREON ALBUM??
I have been working on an idea which I think would be great for the patreon project. I plan to go into the studio to record a series of 6 riddims (basically an album), all with real live instruments. The riddims are all roots (no digital) and I am thinking of basing the whole project around patreon - I would offer a riddim a month as normal, but maybe we could release and album of the ‘best’ mixes / dubs in order to riase money for a good cause.
The main recording session (drums, bass, guitar and keys) would be in a friends studio (I am not using a desk at the moment so not recording drums) where we have access to a Neve desk, telefunken microphones, vintage 60s drum kit etc etc……. seriously top of the range PRO studio. The whole session would also be streamed via the patreon page so you can see how it is all done and grab a vibe of the session.
I would then release a riddim a month via patreon, and after summer 2021 would basically put together an album of material and we can vote on which cause to raise money for. Obviously you would also be free to use the stems for your own purposes.,
The only problem I would have is maybe getting a riddim to you in March - I would need to spend the time I normally do on building the monthly riddim on organising the whole session and getting the riddims ready, next month there would be no riddim, but as from april and for the following 6 months I would be giving you some top notch stems!
I would be posting clips of the pre production guide mixes so you can hear the riddims beforehand.
So, please let me know if this idea is a good one!!!!! I would need to start organising it now, so leave your vote on the poll which will be up for the next week.
Take care and God Bless,
Tim

Happy to miss March to get 6 roots live band riddims!! Got nuff tunes to finish as it is haha. Count me in.
Fantastic idea, forward and onward! I have so many riddims to work on already, you can skip a fews mates no worries :)
Cheers bro. I think it is a great idea and if it works then could be a good model for future roots riddims. I fit goe really well then we could also think about paying for a vocal or two, but let's see how it goes for the moment. Much love bro.
