🩸 Serana Feeding Quick Preview!
All coming together hahaha. Just a quick preview image for the SDA feeding feature, plus some BTS of the code!
I’m choosing to do optional OStim integration with Devour, since the vanilla animation makes it look like Serana is trying to absolutely ravage her prey lol. Otherwise, players will just get a fade-to-black setup - similar to the romance scenes, but with vampire bite SFX!
I’m also thinking of adding a small ability/effect tied to it. Any suggestions? I want it to be at least a slight gameplay buff, or maybe even a buff + debuff since, y’know… you were just fed on hahaha.
Either way, more previews coming in the next few weeks!

I wonder if this'll account for us also being a vampire? As of ESO vampires CAN feed on other vampires for power, so if she Turned us and we feed on one another... I dunno, could be neat? Or if we're a werewolf and she feeds on us, it might give her some really weird 'rage buffs' or something?
I know this post is a bit older but I will say that Devour has been basically replaced by Blood and Ostim, although I'm not sure how much that plays a roll in this particular feature or if it matters
Maybe you could include Serana sharing her blood? A lot of vamparism includes the human drinking the vampires blood, either to turn them, or create a bond with said human. Maybe the first time she bites you she gets lost in the moment and drains more than intended (she's been cold turkey on fresh blood and she is feeding on her lover, I could see her losing herself in the moment). She could panic and offers her blood, not a lot but enough to rejuvenate you. The mixing of both Dragonborn and Daughter of Coldharbour blood results in some buffs/debuffs. She gains reduced vampire weaknesses and maybe she can now use a basic shout (like the one Draugr and Ulfric use) that gets stronger as she feeds more. You gain some weaker vampire buffs but your now weak to fire. Please NO SUN weakness, that imo should be a full vampire only thing.
Oh and Maybe her vampire strengths are slightly reduced, like your divine blood is partially jumpstarting her undead body.
I would like you to recreate animation, from ground up, as many of us do not use any Ostim or other adult animation mods, they are not common so much....please try to, at least, tweak vanilla animation to look nicer.
Unfortunately this would not be realistic scope-wise. What I can do is support other mods like what Zabraxa said!
Hmmm, would it be possible to integrate the Everdammned Animations there? It has one for a more social feeding mechanic.
Sorry for the late reply! Only catching up with more of my post replies now. If its integration with existing mods, then I can definitely support that! It's much more doable and realistic in scope for the moment rather than commissioning SDA-exclusive animations. It's on my to-do list, thanks for the reference! :) This'll also be super helpful for SFW users who don't just want a fade-to-black.
Obviously a debuff for the player makes sense, something minor like slower magica regen or stamina. And a buff for her that does the opposite or increases her damage. She did after all drink from a Dragonborn. Maybe after feeding, she complains about the sun a bit less for a day haha

Nah but thats actually a pretty good suggestion. I'll think about it!

Probably the latter. Perks and buffs for NPCs are generally more finnicky to do.
It's my understanding @VersuchDrei has been working on a replacement for Devour, involving a new mod titled Blood and OStim [https://www.patreon.com/posts/blood-and-ostim-149450965]. In theory it was intended for eventual release on Nexus, although I have only encountered the Patreon pre-release version thus far. It may be worthwhile to reach out to him directly to discuss the possibility of integrating it.

Awesome work! I absolutely support an optional devour add on with ostim.
Temporary invisibility (1 game hour) and strength buff (8hrs) at night, stamina, strength debuff in daytime until sundown.
Minor stamina and magica debuff to begin with. Slowly turns into a buff as the relationship advances.
Maybe like, skill boost for her, and utter poison/disease immunity for you. Due to being Marked, or Claimed.
