Features and fixes in Manual Transmission
MOZA Multi-function stalks are now supported! This update adds different key bindings to externally cancelled buttons such as the new stalks from MOZA. Check the readme for full instructions how to assign these.
Update 5.7.0 broke the collision effect. This is fixed and got some improvements along the way. The effect is directional now and triggers more precisely.
SimHub users reported the RPM being tenfold, which has been fixed. The UDP telemetry is still in the same old DiRT 4 format.
License: There was an issue that caused hardware additions from possibly causing a premature license expiration. This has now been fixed, along with increasing tolerance a little bit.
This will roll out to the other scripts when they receive updates or if there's specific demand.
Linux (Proton, Wine) support
Some users have reported issues with the license in Linux (on their Steam Deck). It took a weekend of tinkering with an old laptop to get GTA V running to verify and address this. To my surprise it worked flawlessly! The license system works as intended, even within Proton.
Some caution around Proton is required, and this information has been added to the FAQ.
Other updates
Adaptive Headlights is updated for the latest game versions. Cornering headlights are functional again.
Ghost Replay is also updated for the latest game versions, and received a new recording file type which saves some space.

would it be possible to add the ability to map vertical lean for bikes to a button on my moza wheel. i quite enjoy using a wheel with the bikes but would like to be able to control lean for wheelies and airtime. Thank you for this amazing mod.
You can map keyboard keys to any wheel button, that can be used. There is no separate mapping for leaning. You may wanna remap shift up/down as the default controls (Left Shift and Left Control) overlap with the keyboard leaning controls.
When I first installed MT 5.7.3, I pressed the "[" key to enter demo mode and the wheel and pedals worked normally. When I entered demo mode to check again before purchasing, the wheel and pedals worked but the car did not move. After reinstalling GTA5 and MT 5.7.3 several times, when I entered the menu with "[" or "mtmenu", only the weapon change menu was displayed. How do I fix this?
Did you shift into gear during that second try where the car did not move? In the third try after reinstalling, did you make sure your game is able to run script mods?
help, in the game it appears that the script is not activated, how do I activate it?
can we not use this with the nightly version of scripthookdotnet because I have other scripts that I would like to use and whenever I use the nightly version I get a infinite black loading screen.
There shouldn't be massive incompatiblies but I haven't verified myself.

Hi, I don't see the camera options in the steering wheel mod. And when I turn the wheel the camera spins and I want it to stay still, what can I do? I have a video if you want to see what happens to me.

Hi all. I've the latest Transmission [5.7.2] latest scrip hook and GTA V Legacy up-to-date. Reinstalled Logitech G Hub, since it game me trouble in the past.. All drivers updated too. I've a G29. There's manual transmission menu from '[' key, but no way to adjust wheel and wheel/pedals don't respond in game. Mod worked fine with this wheel a couple of years ago. Any help appreciated.
Hi, the latest version is 5.7.3. Please make sure you've assigned all buttons and axes. If it still doesn't respond or manage to assign the axes, please drop by Discord and upload Gears.log and settings_wheel.ini in the troubleshooting channel.

i have a question.. where do i copy the LUT file to?? i have a LUT file laying around that i use for assetto, but i have no clue where i would copy it to, to use for gta

Run the license generator to create the license. The script picks it up automatically.
my peddals doesnt work?? everything seems to be plugged in, i even opened the log hub and it shows it works
Did you assign all the inputs? You need to do this yourself, the script doesn't have preconfigured devices.
thank you for the manual transmission mod, its really nice. i am trying to set up cruise control but it just wont work. i have it turned on and a button for it on my g29 wheel also have two buttons assigned for increase and decrease but i dont get no response. i want it to run whatever speed i am at when i set it. im sorry if im missing something. could you offer some advice? thank you.
The option needs to be enabled globally or for the vehicle class.
I've just got the newest version, but it seems my shifter isn't working right. I have mapped the H shifter in the manual transmission settings, and when i move the shifter now, it does detect those gears and says gear 1 gear 2 etc. but when i'm in any car, regardless of if im using the clutch or not, it doesn't change gear. any tips?
Are you in H-pattern manual mode? Is the steering wheel active? You need to press one of the pedals to switch to wheel input.

I can't read Spanish. If you ask why the accelerator doesn't accelerate: you do need to assign all inputs first.
How do i invert my G29 steering? Resetting it did nothing.
Re-assign your steering axis if you did it the wrong way around last time. (It asks to steer to the right)

Is there a way to use this with simhub or sim dashboard?
Yes! There is UDP Telemetry which broadcasts in the DiRT 4 format with all the car/suspension details for stuff like bass shakers. 5.7.3 even fixes an issue with the RPM display for SimHub.

You replace Gears.asi and then you copy paste the Manual Transmission folder and don't replace any files in that folder.
