"No Horizon" drums + sample [VIDEO]
Always willing to inspire people to work on fresh drums, I want you to see what's happening with the drums in No Horizon (Metalheadz).
Also revealing the source sample and who sent it to me maybe 15 years ago and also used it in D&B before me (has only been used once before, afaik).

Awesome video and No Horizon is equally awesome too! I love the break. Definitely going to have a go at chopping and making a tune with it. Thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge :)
The idea of chopping up this break was almost daunting but it actually wasn’t as hard as I made out in my head (thanks for getting everything in 1 place) and my god it has been inspiring to play around with
Glad to hear you’ve been having fun with it!
Might be the break used in Mos Def - Love? Also the bass drum in this break is really good.
Shakers are great on this as well mostly never touched upon, lovely mate as per! big up
Shakers rule the world! (Of high frequency energy)
This is a lovely break 👌Wanted to locate something brushy for a while. Feel like Ibunshi may have used it...
I see this company called Klevgrand has a brush plugin…might be interesting
Question, I noticed in your midi drums for mean street break, most hits all have the same velocity minus just a few. Is this choice break specific? Or something else I'm not seeing? Thank you
I usually start with full/same velocity on all, and many times it works (because the drummer often has different velocities on the drumhits).
solid drums, please share more about the bass on this one!
Yeah I need to cover that and share the preset!
drum process on all your tracks is so sick ! so completed; I was listening your tracks recently such as brotz 1, hollow grounds, I play it cooler, last solo before dawn, ninja chicks, sleeping beauty, the unseen, toshiro, two drummers, when both worlds collide, when gods wake up; they are one of my favs of yours so so so good ! thanks for sharing ps. there was a time a I thought you are a real drummer like Kj Sawka or Jungle Drummer but that was more than 10 years ago
Big thanks man! 🙏🏻❤️
Can’t wait to dig into this!
This has made my weekend! 👌
