Mix/production miniseries ep. 1/10: Drums energy layer (+ free plugin)

I'll start a little series of minitips for production and mixing (BTW don't miss my first miniseries, Why your mix isn't working). Short form content has been requested - I hear you.
Don't worry, I won't stop doing long form content: to me, it's by far the favourite form and I've been doing it for years.

I'll prob do around 10 tips for now, publishing a video every 2-3 days or so, and all of it will end up in their own collection in the end.

Speaking of collections, I've consolidated them a bit: there's now
• Mixing & mastering (by far the biggest and most popular),
• Music production tips & tricks,
• BASS,
• Breakbeat Of The Month,
• Why your mix isn't working,
• Samples, and
• Advice and tips to artists.

Coming up after the mini series:
Breakbeat production tips, making jungle, mix project setup + ref, tech house processing (Jamie Jones maybe? John Summit?), inspiration/creativity talk etc, Soothe & Spiff giveaway etc (subscribers only - I don't post free member content).

For now, enjoy these mini tips and keep your eye out on them, as they should drop every few days till we're clearly in September.

PS: Using a free plugin for this tip.
Grab it here (my video is not an ad for the plugin btw):
