D&B production techniques
Let's produce some slamming DNB with modern bass (btw for more drums and breaks stuff, see the COLLECTION).
This could sit well on Dispatch Recordings for example.
I created the drums and bass without samples.
I'm giving you some techniques for creating original bass tones that sit very well in modern DNB, trap, tech house, and related styles.
Also letting you know how to create modern, heavy, slamming drum sounds that would fit in the aforementioned genres, using my fave drum generator.
I am also checking out a saturator/clipper type tool that can be useful on tracks and master.
The techniques and plugins are not genre dependent at all: I want to equip you with techniques you can use on anything you produce.
Modern styles, modern tools - we got 'em.
As a bonus, I'm checking out some useful new Ableton Extensions features (free, but still on beta), which I've been very excited about.
You can DOWNLOAD the drumloop I created and get the bass presets below (you are free to use these) ⬇️

thank you fanu i love you i've been absorbing your videos all month and it's made me understand so many things from some of my favourite songs :D things are more controlled than i initially thought. after this video i stemmed out this song with a crazy kick + bass section ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObvRCxXBYRo&t=195s ) and looked at the bass low passed + high passed in span and what do you know, below 140hz it was a clean sub and above it was the hype distorted/bode part. the sub does go into the 30hz range though i'm not sure what your thoughts on that are with these wild basses? (i loved how it sounded on a concert system though for context)
What my thoughts are on 30 Hz basses? That’s too low for root note: not enough pressure if that’s the root note. I always aim for 45-60!
