Health Update
So turns out my regular doctor screwed up and gave me antibiotics when I didn’t need them (didn’t test me for anything besides covid and just guessed 🙄 She was overall very dismissive.) I saw a different doc and turns out I had the flu and a secondary infection of strep. The nurse was pissed they let me get this bad and I’ll absolutely be finding a new doctor. Still waiting for another lab test to see if I have/had a gut infection too. I was this 🤏 close to getting sent to the ER but so far the copious amount of drugs they put me on has me finally improving. First 24 hours in 2 weeks without a fever!!
I’m still very weak and can’t do much, so I’ll be taking it easy for at least a week even though I’m feeling better. I should be okay enough to finish up the book, but I’ll be giving myself a further break on comic pages. Which means the hiatus will likely go on for an additional month due to time lost.
My POTS symptoms seem to be worse because of this, and it’ll take me months if not years to get myself back to a state of semi-normal. So extremely light and gradual exercise, ice packs, lots of electrolytes, and compression socks every day for me 🫡 Wish me luck pals.

I hope you feel better soon, rest as much as you need! Also as someone who is really into antibiotic stewardship, it drives me up a wall when doctors hand antibiotics out like candy on Halloween. The lab is there for a reason, run the actual tests and don’t just guess!!! >:(

I'm so sorry your doctor was so dismissive! Strep is no joke. >:( I'm glad you're finally getting the care you need. Take it easy and we'll all be here cheering you on 💕

Get well Rachel! I don’t know anything about POTS but my sister had a gut infection in the past, she said her symptoms were just loss of appetite and gut pain, try eating some fruit at least Rachel!
