Reunion 0.90 — Foundation Is Here

Reunion 0.90 is finally ready.

This update has been a very long and pretty rough road. Between rebuilding systems, fixing old issues, testing save compatibility, improving performance, rewriting parts of the UI, and polishing Chapter 19, I’ve put well over a thousand hours into this version.

There were moments when it felt like the finish line kept moving further away every time I got close, but we finally made it.

Android Version

As usual, the Android version is not being prepared by me directly. I’ve already sent the necessary files to the person who handles the Android build for Reunion, but I don’t know exactly how long it will take.

It will most likely be ready within the next few days.

A few important things before you download

From now on, there is only one version of Reunion.

There are no separate compressed, full, or patch versions. The download contains the complete game, including all previous chapters and the new content from 0.90.

There is also no separate update patch for older installations.

Please extract Reunion 0.90 into a new folder. Do not copy it over an older version and do not merge the old and new game folders.

Before playing, please take a moment to read:

• all three Announcements available from the Main Menu;

• the full 0.90 Patch Notes;

• the installation instructions included with the download.

They contain important information about old saves, Chapter Select, changes to the game systems, and how this version should be installed.

One change since the Patch Notes

The old hover sidebar has been removed.

Its features are now available through the new Quick Menu buttons on the right side of the screen. This ended up being cleaner, more reliable, and much easier to use during normal gameplay.

About old saves

Reunion 0.90 includes migration and compatibility support for older saves, but after so many changes, extremely old or damaged saves may not always behave perfectly.

Please keep your old Reunion folder and make a backup of your save data before installing the new version.

The game now also includes a one-time fix for heavily bloated legacy persistent files, which could cause severe lag during choices, point popups, Save/Load, and other interactions.

This version took far more work than I expected when I started, but it also gave Reunion a much stronger foundation for everything that comes next.
