How mosquitoes and 40°C heat helped finish Reunion story...

First of all, I want to say I’m truly sorry for going completely silent both here and on Discord over the past several weeks.
I know I disappeared without a word, and I hate that it happened.
But please believe me—it wasn’t because I lost interest, gave up, or stopped caring. Quite the opposite.
What happened was entirely due to my day job... and to be honest, I’m still pissed about how things went down.
The company I work for handles demolitions—mostly old factories and industrial sites.
In April, we took part in a tender for demolishing a long-abandoned factory all the way across the country.
We won the contract unexpectedly, and on April 30th, my boss called me late in the evening and told me I had to go there for “just a week” to supervise the work due to staff shortages and a tight deadline.
I had no choice. I went.
That “one week” turned into two. Then three.
In the end, I was stuck there for seven weeks.
Seven weeks of complete isolation and misery.
We were living in cramped, overheated barracks that felt like ovens—temperatures inside often climbed over 40°C.
There were mosquitoes everywhere, water was rationed so showers were only every three days, and the closest store was 8 kilometers away through the woods.
And to top it all off, there was zero phone or internet signal.
We worked 16 to 18 hours a day, nonstop.
Honestly? It was hell.
And what made it worse was the way I was treated. I gave everything I had, worked myself to the edge, and in return—I got used. No support, no appreciation. Just orders and silence.
That’s why I’ve decided to leave the company.
They refused to end the contract on friendly terms, so I still have one more month to survive. But after that, I’m done.
And I’m not jumping into a new job right away. I need time to breathe, to rest, and to decide what I actually want to do next.
Now, enough of that. Let’s talk about something better.
Despite everything, there was one unexpected benefit of being completely cut off from the world: I finally had time to write.
No internet, no distractions—just me and the story.
And… it worked.
I’ve finished rewriting and polishing everything for version 0.80, and I’ve written the full script for 0.90 and 1.0.
Yes—the full story of Reunion is now complete.
Of course, I’ll still be making small edits as I render scenes and adjust pacing, but the structure, the key events, the endings—everything is there. And I’m really proud of how it turned out.
Update 0.80 is going to be big.
There’s a lot of action, a lot of heat, and I made sure every girl gets at least a little time in the spotlight.
Even Becky shows up—finally!
Without spoiling anything, I’ll just say: I don’t think you’ll see some of the upcoming twists coming. I had fun with this one.
I tried to mix things up—some moments to laugh, some to cry, and others that hit hard and fast. I really hope it delivers everything you’ve been waiting for.
I don’t have new renders to share just yet, but that’s about to change—because starting now, I’m going full speed ahead.
The writing’s done. The direction is clear.
And I’m fired up to get this next update finished and into your hands.

I hope the weather and bugs situation has gotten much better. Skeeters do ruin a perfect day, the evening, and of course the night.. Wakin up with itchy welts is no fun at all. Been there Dun that TOO BLoody Many Times!! Despite it all........ Are you REALLY getting that close on the updates to completion of the story???? Don't leave us hanging too long on what your next project will be! As good as Reunion has been your next project has got to be a real mind bender!
Hey, still not reaction about Android v0.75? Update from 0.70 to 0.75 will not succeed. Maybe depends on Android version!?!?

Man, I am not going to pretend that I know what it’s like to be put in those circumstances, but I do know how it feels to put your absolute best into something and to come away with nothing but a pat on the back and another assignment. I remember hearing a story from my Dad about how my Uncle Chris was supposedly being taken advantage of at his construction job, working himself to the bone for supposedly minimal pay. At the end of the day, your health, safety, and prosperity comes first because when all is said in done, your life is yours alone. Do not waste your time, talent, and effort on people who do not deserve your dedication and commitment. Find something you love doing and stick with it, but if the people you are working with do not support you and do not value your hard work, then just leave them behind, find someone who will and don’t look back. Hoping to see more of your work soon, but always make sure that you take care of yourself first.
sorry about the poor work enviroment (in both senses of the term), but am glad you drew a victory from it.

Glad you've gotten out of that mess, and I look forward to the next update. Take all the time you need. Just one SMALL thing about the last update...I elected to have Lisa keep her hair long, but in the final scenes with her she has a pixie cut
I know the feeling of lack of appreciation for job performance all too well. So I feel for you and as many who have experienced similar will know, we do understand and continue to support you! Sounds, as you also indicated, like it may have been a blessing in the mask of tyranny... We are ALL looking forward to your update releases and hope you get the rest and increased creative juices that come with it. I for one, of many I am sure, am quite glad to hear that you are in deed still around and are still working on Reunion. With the completion being so close that many of us can taste it I personally am looking forward to your next project. When you get fresh enough let us know what that might be. Once you are ready.. No rush!!! And now.. My call to arms! "ALL HAIL KARABINEK!!!"
