Succubi Chapter 259. Heat
Succubi Chapter 259. Heat
Moans, groans, touches, kisses, teasing whispers, and breathless laughter all melted together until I couldn't tell where one ended and another began. The room was saturated with demonic pheromones, perfume, wine, and enough Lust energy that made me dizzy. And somehow... I wanted more.
My body demanded more. My mind agreed. Every time I thought I should probably stop, something inside my demonic core pulsed.
‘Again.’
So I continued.
Lilith's Lust burned against my Pride. Val kept finding increasingly shameless ways to steal my attention. Rivy treated the entire night like a competition she absolutely refused to lose. Sera somehow maintained the sleepy expression of a woman who could fall asleep at any moment while simultaneously becoming one of the greatest threats to my remaining sanity.
And somewhere during all of that, I completely forgot about the system.
Levels?
Skills?
Double growth?
Fuck it!Tomorrow-Evan could deal with the consequences. Tonight-Evan had apparently chosen villainy.
By the time pale morning light slipped through the curtains, however, even four succubi had finally surrendered. The room became quiet.
I looked around. Lilith was asleep. Val too. Rivy had somehow stolen half the blanket. And Sera was curled up among the pillows like she'd contributed absolutely nothing to the destruction of civilized society over the last several hours.
I stared at them. Then at the room. It looked like a battlefield where the primary weapons had been pillows, wine, and catastrophically poor decision-making. I carefully moved them one by one, arranging everyone properly on the bed.
Sera made a sleepy noise when I moved her. "Warm..." Then she immediately fell asleep again.
I stared at her. Unbelievable. I pulled the blanket over everyone before gathering my clothes.
Me? Surprisingly, I was still awake. Which wasn't exactly good news for someone who was supposed to be a student. Normal students spent their nights sleeping. Studying. Finishing assignments. Maybe panicking about exams.
I grabbed whatever food remained and ate. Then ate some more. My appetite was ridiculous.
Afterward, I cleaned whatever mess I could without waking anyone, quietly slipped out of Val's room, and headed toward the bath.
One long shower later, I returned to my own room. And surprisingly... I didn't feel tired. At all.
"Huh."
I rolled my shoulders. Nothing. Considering what happened last night, I should have resembled a corpse desperately requesting emergency hydration.
Instead, I felt... Good. No. Not good. Warm.
I stopped.
Warm?
My eyebrows furrowed.
Why did I feel warm?
The sensation wasn't coming from my skin. It was deeper. Somewhere beneath my ribs. My demonic core. I pressed a hand against my chest.
The warmth intensified.
"...Eh?" Another pulse rolled through me.
My eyes widened. Wait. That wasn't warm. It was hot.
"What the f*ck?"
The temperature surged. I immediately pulled my shirt over my head and tossed it aside. Didn't help. Sweat formed across my chest. Another wave erupted from my core.
"Ah—!"
I stumbled against the wall. Definitely not normal. This wasn't ordinary body heat.
It felt like someone had shoved a miniature furnace directly into my demonic core and then turned the setting to ‘surface of the sun’.
"System!" Blue light flashed before me. "What the hell is happening?"
[Analyzing Host...]
[High-Level Lust Energy Detected.]
[Pride/Lust Resonance: Extreme.]
[Demonic Power Increase: Significant.]
[Warning!]
[ANOMALY DETECTED!]
I winced. "Excuse me?"
[ANOMALY DETECTED!]
Another wave of heat tore through my chest. I clenched my teeth. "I'm already an anomaly! Sera reminds me practically every day. Now you're calling me one too? Tell me what the f*ck is happening!"
The system flickered.
[Host accumulated an abnormal quantity of demonic energy within a single night.]
[Total Demonic Power Growth has exceeded projected physiological limits.]
[Demon Sovereign bloodline responding.]
Another pulse. This one dropped me onto one knee. "Responding how?"
[Evolution conditions partially satisfied.]
I froze. "...Evolution?"
[Confirmed.]
That sounded either extremely good... or extremely fatal. Probably both.
Then another notification appeared.
[Abnormal Demonic Power Growth has triggered Skill Awakening.]
[New Skill Acquired: Hellfire Burst]
[Hellfire Burst: Release an explosive wave of hellfire around the Host, burning and blasting away nearby enemies.]
My eyes widened.
[New Skill Acquired: Abyss Blast]
[Abyss Blast: Fire a powerful blast of compressed demonic energy that explodes on impact.]
I stared at that one. "...Okay."
I liked it. Then another notification appeared.
[Passive Skill Acquired: Greater Regeneration]
[Greater Regeneration: HP and DP regeneration greatly accelerated.]
[Minor injuries regenerate automatically.]
[Physical exhaustion recovery significantly increased.]
[Regeneration efficiency increases while Demonic Power remains above 20%.]
That explained why I wasn't tired. My new passive skill had apparently turned my body into a supernatural recovery machine.
Before I could properly appreciate that…
[WARNING!]
My smile disappeared. "...What now?"
[Evolution Threshold Reached.]
[Evolution Triggered!]
Pain exploded through my chest.
I collapsed. Something tore through my core. Not physically. Worse. My demonic power erupted outward like a beast that had spent years chained inside me and had suddenly realized someone forgot to lock the cage. My vision turned crimson. My heartbeat thundered. Once. Twice.
Then…
-BOOM!
Dark energy exploded around me. My horns emerged first. Then my tail. My wings followed, snapping open behind me with enough force to send loose papers flying across the room.
But... It didn't stop.
"...Wait."
Something crawled across my arms. Black material. No, not material. Skin. Dark armored plates emerged over my forearms, spreading upward like living obsidian. They flowed across my shoulders and partially covered my chest, overlapping naturally until they resembled something halfway between scales and demonic armor.
"What the hell...?!"
I raised my hand. There were claws. Sharp, dark and controlled. But not monstrous. Designed for violence. Well… That was reassuring.
My reflection caught my attention. Slowly, I looked toward the mirror. Red eyes stared back. Not merely crimson anymore. They glowed. Dark markings extended beneath them, thin lines of demonic energy tracing my cheekbones before disappearing toward my neck.
I stared. The creature inside the mirror was unmistakably me. But this wasn't my old demonic form. Before, transforming had basically meant Evan plus horns, wings, and a tail.
This?
This looked like something that belonged on a throne made from the weapons of defeated kings.
