[We Were Just Kids] Progress Report - 8/13/2021

So, again, I'll start off by thanking the new Patreons. The support means a lot, and the fact people are willing to support it financially means even more. You guys are appreciated. This'll be a fairly short Progress Report as most of the last one holds true still.

- I'm sitting at about 200 renders currently. I'd say my lighting is definitely getting better, but still have room to improve, for sure. The heat here is ungodly right now, so I'm not sure if that's affecting speed or not, but the renders are coming. Which brings me to the next point.

- Animations will be eased in starting this release. There's currently three animations at different angles for one scene. The first two are sort of jerky as my brilliant self forgot to render them with a loop in mind, so the loop points will sort of jerk as they start over. Along with that, they're lower quality than I'd like. So, I bit the bullet and grabbed Premiere Pro and the webm plugin, and rendered the third animation out there. The quality difference and smoothness are noticeable. Animations will hopefully continue to improve from the last of the three. Especially for actual sex scenes.

- The fonts for names and dialogue have changed. The dialogue font isn't quite as noticeable, but both add a little more flavor. Still toying with the idea of customizing the textbox some, but anything I've toyed with hasn't looked great or made things hard to read.

 - Just to clarify the last report, this release won't belong solely to Logan. But the view point shifting will be a less common after the intro to 0.2. As mentioned, other events (currently) unrelated to the two protagonists will be shown, to avoid infodumping and to give the viewer an idea of why the events will be happening later. Cause and effect.

- I'm trying to keep writing while renders are going, and am making some pretty good progress as far as that goes. Hopefully this covid surge doesn't keep going or life'll be getting in the way son.

That's about it for now. I'm trying to keep these up weekly without showing too many of the renders or exposing too much of the story, but sometimes there just isn't much to say. That'll probably be the case for a while. Once agaiin, there's a few renders above, feel free to take a look. Just keep in mind they aren't compressed nor is there any postwork done to them.
