Trench Crusade is here!
It’s no secret we are big fans of trench Crusade here at Cult of Paint. The artwork, the miniatures, the background lore, all blend to create an amazingly atmospheric setting with almost endless possibilities for some top tier hobby activity.
We’ve had more requests for Trench Crusade content from the Cult community than any other subject (except perhaps a “Top 10 Crisps of all time” video)
Well, I've been meaning to paint up a force of New Antioch Prussians for quite a while and after getting my hands on all the excellent plastic kits it was time to make that a reality.
My local gaming group are already playing games of Trench Crusade and I'm playing catch up, so I wanted to get my Warband on the gaming table nice and quickly. Speed of application and visual impact are the order of the day, but without compromising on the aesthetics.
I have started this new project with the backbone of any Prussian Warband, the Stosstruppen and Yeomen, and created a step-by-step PDF tutorial in how I went about painting them. More tutorials will follow covering the rest of the Prussians, other Warbands and other subjects like trench bases and even some scenery building and painting.
So download the PDF attached at the bottom of this post and join me as I jump into the world of Trench Crusade.
We are going to be producing regular PDF tutorials covering a wide variety of hobby subjects. These will sit alongside the usual video content here on Patreon, not replace it. Joining them both will be “blogpost” style updates on our own personal hobby projects and even guest features in the not-too-distant future. So lots of content coming for all levels and styles of miniature painting.
As ever we really appreciate any feedback you have, any changes or improvements you think we can make, and most importantly, your ideas! We want to create content that YOU the Patreons want to see. So please comment below or drop us a message and happy hobbying everyone.

Thank you very much! The information is so well presented, it's a joy to read through
Awesome work ben! love the PDF format too
My wallet is crying but maybe I should get into trench crusade
Maybe pick up a couple of models to get started? although in fairness warband is very reasonable really. Especially if you start with the Carcass Front 2 player box
Top work, Ben!
Thanks Drew appreciate it
God please do the two warbands from the carcass front box they are both very cool
It's as if you've been reading my project notes. Which would you like to see first?
I have just started a bit of a dive into trench Crusade and love the look of it and bought some hell knights. I am looking forward to some painting tutorials!
That's excellent, the Hell Knights are very cool! make sure you share your painting progress with us.
