Next army to develop
Hi guys.
When we started the new Patreon model, with a single army, we decided that we would work them in 3 month cycles. One for humans, one for elves and one more that we will leave to your choice.
There are three races, Dark Elves, Wood Elves and Dwarves that already have Kickstarters in a high degree of development or will be imminent release. So we are going to leave them out of these choices at least until we launch these kickstarters.
You can choose from existing races, such as lizardmen, undead, or ash warriors, or propose new ones that we haven't touched yet. You don't have to limit yourselves strictly to the Warhammer world either. If there is enough interest we have no problem modelling less seen things, like Draconians, kobolds or anything else you can think of.
I'm waiting for your suggestions so we can put the vote in a few days.
Once we have this third race, we will choose the content of each of the releases.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hola chicos.

Cool orcs and Goblins are definetly needed
I'm very happy to know that there will be an incoming Wood Elves KickStarter :D (I hope that they'll include Glade Riders, Wild Riders, Chariots, mounted heroes...)
Halflings or Orcs/Goblins
Mallards from the Swedish RPG Dragonbane
I want Halflings, Ogres and Ash Warriors god themed warriors (Lust/Rage/Disease/Change themed warriors). Mutated Ash Warriors too. Arab Army is a good idea too
If the dwarfs are underway then it is worth completing the lizardmen
Greenskins! For all types, big´´uns, small ones, goblinoids, fungus...
I'd really love some human followers of dark gods whose alignment is portrayed by their appearance and equipment. I really like the Ash Warriors but I'd like something a bit more flavoured, especially excessive or changeable warriors. There's tons of daemons and generic warriors about but not a lot aligned warriors, which is a shame as there's loads of creativity to be tapped there. Would also like beastmen, then orcs or evil dwarves.
otherwise if we are looking away from the old world then the houses of Westeros would be cool , something to compete with cmons minis or maybe the factions from Elder Scrolls or Hyperborea !! .... any of those would be friggin cool
as there are a few companies who focus on the core races of the old world , i would love to see some of the lesser seen factions !? like the Amazons , Cathay , Araby , kingdoms of Ind , Albion and Vampire coast !?
i'd love to see orcs and gobbos :) i think you can be extreamly creative with them :D
“Extremely”
Or wood elves
"There are three races, Dark Elves, Wood Elves and Dwarves that already have Kickstarters in a high degree of development or will be imminent release. So we are going to leave them out of these choices at least until we launch these kickstarters."
Norsca
For what it's worth, I'm here for the Warhammer. I'd not be interested in kobolds, draconians, or other non-warhammer bits. I'd love to see Dogs of War, chaos, beastmen, skaven, araby. I know there is a limit to the number of WH armies so you need to explore options, so could i also suggest exploring some of the warhammer world monsters - jabberwock, basilisks, etc.
Ind and Kuresh
SKAVEN would be interesting as well, as there are no other apart from gw.
Would be Great to see your take on... Cathay Beastmen Chaos Dwarfs Dogs of War (Mercenary Army)
Ash warriors and Knights of mor
Ash Legions: Ash Warriors Ash Dwarfs Ash Rats Ash Beasts Ash Demons Ash Wanderers
- Skaven. - Orcos y Goblin.
Albion :) Or the Sky Titans! So the Giants before alcohol and inbreeding ruined them
Historicals like Valois France or Hungarian Black Army lol but let's be honest, you won't be doing them
We are thinking of opening a team dedicated to historical sculpture. We had thought about Napoleonic sculptures to start with, but everything will work out.
New and renovated Sisters of Sigmar. Kislev properly inspired by Poland-Lithuania (and not the Kievan Rus mishmash CA did for TWWIII) is also a valuable option.
Greenskins!
Dwarves or halflings!
Orcs would be nice
Maybe full-fledged models for Kislev?
I think Ash warriors with some demons would be cool , other than that Arabs or an Imperial China fantasy army would be good , Iam happy for you to concentrate two months to bulk out a sizable force of one type and happy to roll with most things just not Lizardmen or Empire for now
second the fantasy arab/china armies. would be really cool to see your take on it
Halflings or Green skins by Last Sword would be pretty great. I love the idea of an imperial hobbit with a Zweihänder. Maybe fungal orcs or some other newer take on them. I would say, pitch us with a single sketch or idea on what Last Sword is interested and passionate about sculpting and we vote.
I am here because the mini's fit the Warhammer / AoS / 9th Age theme. So I would like it to say that way. Imo. More high Elves (Elves in general), Lizardmen, undead and Empire are needed. Beastmen or other Chaos related stuff is also cool. You guys are rocking it with the Warhammer vibe, it would be a shame to start doing some of those crazy idea's that are posted here... .
IMPERIUM!
The same empty suggestions will probably come here anyway as always and that will probably also be the reason why some really important topics are simply not covered by anyone... Civilians (humans, elves, dwarves) just going about their daily business would be a really great thing. Of course, I don't mean another blacksmith, another butcher and another baker, but rather peasants to populate urban playgrounds, fishermen on their boat at work or while maintaining the boat and nets, shipbuilders to populate the numerous available shipyards or construction workers in the construction of new buildings... I also very, very, very much doubt that this world needs any more fighting dwarves as they are being over-inflated by too many Patreon channels.
I personally don't need civilians but wont blame people who do want them. Asgard Rising and The Printing Goes Ever On both do more civilian models.
CATHAY!
Banal, I know but ORCS
Lizardmen just had a newly designed book in The 9th Age, so I'd love to see more models for them. If I got to choose exactly what entries to do: Stygiosaur, Spearbacks (like the awesome Salamanders you've done before), Saurus Mystics
Persian themed humans or elves, with war elephants!, eastern themed elves, if doing more lizards have some Australian lizards, peasant army or warband, thai/khmer/Malay themed elves,
I'm also surprised at some of the weird stuff that gets put in here. I know it's a brainstorm and all, but do people really think that indian beastmen for example are commercially viable?
Might well be. I think there's certainly a desire to see different themes and styles of models rather than pure GW copies. Heck One Page Rules are the biggest 3D print patreon by a long way and they do things like Jackals (Kroot - ish) and snakes riding four legged serpent mounts etc...
not so much of a rase, but a desert themed humans, elves, lizardmen as such
Greenskins, meaning orcs and the goblin minions. I think you would also enjoy sculpting brutal big orcs and sneaky backstabbing goblins.
Chaos dwarfts! always!
Halflings!!!!
More Lizardmen! 😁😁 And particular ogres for game like Mordheim, so one for pirates, one for Human mercenaries, one for sigmar's sisters, ecc
Gonna have to add another vote for halflings
Warhammer has too many different creators making stuff, you can get any army from any kind of creator. I would make something different, like a arabia inspired draconian army. Some cool crazy idea
Maybe, but every creator has it own style and I like the style Last Sword Miniatures have, so imo the other creators should start doing other stuff, but Last Sword Miniatures should keep rocking the Warhammer vibe boat.
Beastmen Or undead, my dream army has always been undead samurai themed army
Old World: - Chaos dwarves - Beastmen (but mainly the Broo type, not D&D gnolls etc) - Dogs of War I think the other tragically unvisited area of fantasy wargaming is Confrontation/Ragnarok/Aarklash where you had all those factions which clear identities but relatively short lines so e.g. Scorpion clan, Wulfen etc. but in Fantasy Battles sized units
Great Khan hobgoblin horde (and/or Samurai) with some ogres mixed in
Ash warriors and Skaven
Chaos Dwarf !
Dogs of war! Your Birdmen were incredible.
Ash warriors too!!!
Chaos Dwarfs Beast Men (incl. Gnolls, Werewolves, etc. maybe) Dragonborn
How about Skaven.
Nomuertos
Ash warriors!
Halflings or chaos worshippers
Assuming the "humans" category encompasses all human factions (Empire, Bretonnia, Kislev, Mercenaries, etc), I'd rather finish the undead and lizardmen ranges first and then would go for Tomb Kings, vampirates, or maybe unleash your creativity with an existing faction by exploring new cultural themes (conquistadors, Arabian crusaders, Norscan dwarfs, Southlands/African lizardmen, Eastern high elves, etc). Regardless of what you end up doing, I for one would definitely keep it Warhammer world based though.
Halfings
Beastmen
Orks and goblins or Dogs of war
Or indian style beastmen. Humans would be worshipping these magnificient beasts and give sacrivices to them. There could be all animals of the Dschungel in human Form...
I'd love to see something non-warhammer, there is far too much duplication within the small number of 'Army miniatures' patrons. You could look at Hyboria (R E Howard's - Conan), plenty of forces with historical analogs but with scope for fantasy twists. Or if you wanted a more traditional army - Orcs? Not those steroid abusing gym junkie types, rather "the biggest ones were almost man sized, hunched backed with long gangly arms and legs with mongolid faces" just like JRRT described them. (Ref Tom Meier orcs old and new for looks).
Gimme those big beefy Ash Warriors with lots of nasty allies!!
Halflings! Medianos!
Beastmen
Orcs and Goblins!
Halflings!
Kislev (please do the Tzar on bear, not many options for those), Chaos Dwarfs or Dogs of War.
When will the Dwarfes kickstarter launch?
It is difficult to set dates for releases, because patreon conditions the timing in a very important way. If the sculpture comes out quickly then we have more time to work on the kickstarter. Yesterday for example the website collapsed due to the high number of visitors. This is good because it means that we are growing, but it means delays because we have to make an urgent change of hosting. Especially now that we have almost ready the distribution of files on the web. I can tell you the order of things we have prepared. 1st: The fallen Lineage : Dark elves 2nd: A story for Heroes: A small range of miniatures in WOW style. 3rd: Dwarf Halls: The Slayer King 4th: Elven Lords - The Tree Kin 2 In development: High Kingdom Village 2
Dogs of war!
Kislev, Mercenaries (Dogs of War), Bretonia, Monster, Halflings, Samurai...
Warhammer Halflings, Vampire Coast Zombie Pirates, Chaos Dwarfs
Samurai of some kind.
Well if I was to pick something new that you haven't already done...I guess I'd love to see your take on a Beastman army or Dark Elves. I'd rather you guys fully finish what existing armies you have already started of course. But new armies are always welcome.
Halflings
Tomb kings
Undead & Norsca!
I think it would be great to have an entire range dedicated to the inhabitants (above and below) of a Mordheim-style city. You are fantastic sculptors and I think it would be a fantastic addition to any fantasy (or even historical) scenario...
yes mordheim, mordheim. mordheim!
Dogs of war need love too!!!!! Regiments of renown. Duelists, pikemen, and you already have the Birdmen
I'm not sure how popular non-Warhammer models are going to be but I would love to see some snakeman or mind flayer units. Otherwise I wouldn't mind Araby developed as an army. If you decide to go with Lizardmen I would like to propose that they not be Aztec themed. The market is already saturated with excellent options for those that like that esthetic.
1. Forest Goblins 2. Venetian themed, Frog men 3. Lovecraftian Deep Ones
Tomb Kings or Yuan-ti would also be cool
i love your idea for the rotation! i’m glad we’ll be seeing more of your humans and wood elves
1. Warrior of the ashes 2. Some arabic/egyptian living faction. Like the ophidians in kings of war lore 3. ORCS! Maybe with a more shamanistic style like warcraft orcs
Lizardmen, they deserve more models 🥰
Werewolf, hombres lobo
Halflings, Dragonborn, Beastmen (including alternatives to bulls/goats)
Halfling and lizardmen
Kickstarter when! Beastmen would be cool
corsair elves (not so much pirates, but somewhere between buccaneer and new england whalers); ratfolk; instead of a race based army, maybe a mercenary band of multiple diff types all around some theme; and last suggestion beastmen
Vikingos
Chaos dwarfs and lizardmen!
Love your Undead stuff and would like to see you finish the army roster first.
Halflings and the old pigmy units would be amazing as dogs of war. If its an army I'd love to see your versions of skaven. I hope you stay with warhammer content though as yours is the best bar none! Which is what I'm here for 😃 Thanks 😊
Ogros
Halflings, Gnomes and armies that are generally ignored. I suppose ratmen would be a pain in terms of copyright, unfortunately but they would deserve some love, too.
Lizardmen pretty please 😌 a proper Kislev army would also be epic. Would love to see a solid portrayal of Kislev instead of the TW:W3 version we got. And since people seem to love human releases why not right?
Having seen how well One Page Rules is doing with their own designs where armies are based in base size and model dimensions (roughly); I'd love to see you guys do your own design based off an existing army template. I'd love to see what you guys would do if your creative team had freedom to choose and just unleash their creativity!
Halglings
An arabic-style army like from the crusader era but with fantasy elements... you could call them... maybe arabia or something like that 😋
CHAOS DWARFS! You would make kickass Chaos Dwarves 2nd would be Lizardmen 3rd I would to see your take on the Ogres
Halflings
No-muertos
Ogre
Vampire coast
