High Kingdom Cannon
So we start with the cannon battery.
Our intention is to make 3 pieces, one firing, one loading and the last one destroyed. If we have time it will be accompanied by an engineer and some cover.
Do you have a preference for the engineer's equipment? Or do we do it by aiming the cannon?

This cannon is awesome! I'm wondering if the shield can be made as a separate part to allow for different emblems to be used on different cannons? I guess your notion of the cannon firing might be a separate piece too so it can be magnetized and placed when fired?
The idea is that we have different cannon mouths. The shield itself is a bit of a problem. Separating it involves a very small piece, and it is also very easy to deform it, making it a bad fit. the shooting part, you have to study it well. It also depends a lot on the crew.
Just throwing ideas out (no expectation that any or all will be created): cannon ball piles, wad screw, ramrod, botefeux, bucket, alternate ammo types in piles or crate (chain shot for example). Some of these are best modeled in the hand of the engineers / crew. Gabions are nice, as are crates - generic to most artillery - maybe as part of a scenic set someday if not now?
In addition to engineering equipment, stockpile of ammunition? A horse standing nearby? (As if it had just pulled the cannon)?
only cannon? Or do we get morter, volleygun etc too?
For the time being it will be cannons only. Right now there are alternatives of many brands to any equipment. So since we are not the first, let's try to make the best ones. And that requires more hours and a deeper understanding of the poses. We want something with a lot of personality. Not just generic pieces. Also an average army can use 2 or 3 cannons. If there is one piece that deserves to have variants it's this one.
longrifle or repeatergun/pistol
another +1 for sextant, by some cover - are we talking entrenched emplacement, gabions or mantlet type
+1 for sextant
Equipment would make the engineer much more characterful. Maybe a little sextant or an eyeglass?
Agreed, anything that helps him aiming and firing the Welpen
