Quick poll about elf hair

We can do the separate heads on the archers as they are already in other kits, with the problem that the hair can't touch over the shoulders.

Or we can make nicer manes, but they will only work on that body.

What do you prefer on the archers?

Not so much large, just flowing

I like elves with long hair, but i also like being able to swap heads. Will some of the arches be wearing helmets? Also, is it possible to sculpt swappable heads where the long hair simply flows over the armour at the back? (So the head can be swapped still)?

Even elf short hair is past the shoulders, like the old high elf archers

True that. What about some Long plait? It would ve nice, if you try some on orthodox concept, like elven landsknecht with moustache.

When I think of elven hair, I think of https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c0/51/5c/c0515ca3c74ca0722aac315cd81d987f.jpg. And hair like that is impossible to sculpt unless the head is attached to the torso. The question is simply whether you value the possibility of swapping heads more or whether you value sculpting long hair.

Samurai's knot solution

This is the solution we have used so far, but it doesn't mean that the manes are lost. Manes are one of the most identifiable elements of elves and in miniature they are made less often than would be desirable.
