January 2021
Hi Guys :)
Happy New Year to all.
I bring you the compilation of new releases for the month of January. There are some things missing like the game versions of the vampiric servants. You will find them with the archives in any case.
This month we've had 3 very demanding projects and we've come very close :). We hope you like it because we have tried our best.
Today I also want to talk about piracy. I would like you to take it as something didactic and not as a cry.
Last month Last Sword earned around 5.000 euros from this patreon, after deducting the commissions of the platform and your taxes. It's a respectable amount, but it's not enough to maintain our current production structure, which consists of 3 sculptors, Jason, Mario and Stephan, German who has joined to help with the web and social media management, Isaac in charge of all the logistics and accounting and me managing the projects.
Also now we have included a programmer, to be able to solve the integration of Patreon in the web, and another series of improvements that will come in the future.
With this I want to say that the subsequent sales on the web are essential for us to be viable as a company and to accompany you for a long time.
This year we have had to ban a dozen people for filtering files. But banning someone does not solve any problem. Once a file is leaked, it's a lost battle for us. And believe me, it has a huge impact on us.
It all boils down to the fact that we are not a multinational, even if it sometimes seems that way to you. In the miniature world almost all of us are small companies trying to make a living from what we like the most.
That's why we need your collaboration, both economically as you do every month, and by sharing our social networks. But above all avoiding that the files are shared.
Thank you very much to all of you for your support and I'm sorry for the brick I've thrown at you :)
pd: Tomorrow I will start answering all the messages, as I see there are a lot of them.

Hola Chicos :)

Great work! Love the Blood Knights! Are there no plane bases included in the files?
Normally we don't put them in to save space, in the end it is a file that is in many places and has no value. If you need a specific base, ask me for it by private and we will send it to you.
Your work is just EXTRAORDINARY! Well done ! I just have a small regret: in the past, you provided two types of banners, one of which was blank... This allowed us to further personalize our regiments. This is the only detail that I regret: everything else is just great.
We try to do that whenever we can. But there are times when time is running out. Although in this case it doesn't involve sculpting time, we have to cut it separately, optimise the number of polygons, support it, test it. The same piece, almost identical, means in reality several extra hours of work.
Hey guys! awesome work, as usual. One quick feedback concerning the bases/basing structures. Some of us use specific bases (e.g. stonefloor/cobblestone) that do not fit very well if you use non-neutral basing elements like the grass you have on the cataphracts. I am no expert but potentially having "neutral" bases would help. The grass features could be printed separately if somebody wants those. I am cherrypicking, I know!!
There are figures in which we can and figures in which we cannot. In the case of the cataphracts, the vegetation and the griffin dogs are very important elements to support some of the more dynamic horses. We could make miniatures that are self-supporting, but they would lose much of that dynamism. Or they would fall over as happens in other brands because they try to look for poses and don't hold them well. The horse of the officer of that unit does not support any leg and it is a very stable figure. But it needs that kind of element. And more so in resin which is a relatively fragile material. Every choice we make has a cost.
You guys are worth saving, and your art is worth respecting, you got my money!
Has anyone had trouble too, printing the elven lion rider? Failed 3 times now. Printed it with Lord of the print parts first.. all LOTP parts worked.. lion parts failed.. all of them.. made a testprint with other files and ameralabs town.. all fine.. printed the lion mixed with mammoth factory.. all failed (not the mf files but lions)... - printed RAW &Z.kino files.. (after increasing exposure time a bit and lift speed) all fine.. printed the lion.. this time increasing size by 50% (as stl to have the supports grow at same percentage) failed again.. (rider body, hand, weapon and lion tail came out fine but the lion body again left only supports behind) - this is a huge disappointment. i subscribed because of this particular model alone. - do i have to redo all the supports myself, or has anyone a hint on how to solve this somewhat easier. i am not really good at self-supporting files - i understand that settings can be the issue.. however, i had several other models print alongside and in between.. those worked.. and for the last print i opened up a new bottle of resin and did another batch to secure the settings and resin were working, and the lion still failed.
Hello Franz The big problem you have is that all brands are giving you over supported figures. That miniature is supported in the way we would have printed for a miniature that we send to molds, minimizing any markings to the minimum. You have to print it in layers of 0.025 or thinner, not the usual 0.05. In most cases that change will do the trick. If not raise the exposure a little. Specifically that miniature I have printed more than 50 times for our print on demand service. In the new miniatures we are putting more supports than necessary and thicker to avoid these problems.
I had to use google translate, but from what you said about missing out on the Vampire from last month you don't have to worry because they will release their stl files on their website a little while after to purchase :) You will just get them cheaper here.
I cannot find the link to the January files; are they available yet? Thanks.
i (also) just joined. but once you read the patreons introduction, you may find that there is a section that describes that models are released around 13. to 16. each month... cant recall the exact dates... but you should be able to find out yourself.
Hi, just asking, I'm new to this patreon thing:-) are all those files now printable?:P
Hey mate, worry not. They usually release the files on the 15th of every month but because these models took a while to do (it is a big lot of minis) they will be a bit late. But in saying that they usually do a post with the link to download them all when they are ready ^_^.
I love Undead and Lizards, had to join for those Ordos Draconis. And that Steam Tank in the welcome pack is a great version!!!
You got me with this post. Its just awesome what you make. Your Design is the thing what WHF should be. Pls never stop and keep up your great work.
Based on historical patterns guys this is simply the final shot of all the models for January's release. The link for downloading all STL files both supported and unsupported are posted here generally around the 15th-17th of the current month. A discount code is often given to purchase previous Patreon releases or other products released through other means to be used on their website. Once the link is released mid month you have until the last day of month to download the files. On the 1st of the month they generally inactivate the previous month's link on Patreon here. If you miss a release you can contact them, but this may a few extra days to sort out so be diligent to look for file releases in the 2nd half of each month but before the 1st
do the digital files on your site come pre supported ? from the lizardmen ?
So have the above questions about where to find the January files been answered elsewhere? Maybe I'm missing something?

So how does this work? Will there be a link for this months minis? Are the x Patron rewards put into the welcome pack or where else can I find them?

I love your work...I am considering your enterprise as one of the best in the 3d Market for fantasy stuff... BTW Any experience how those lovely figurines will print at smaller scale e.g. 15 mm?
Excellent work as always guys!
hi there new to the patreon. where can i find all of the download links? to the january files and welcome pack e.g.
Have you looked into colabs with other known creators for more publicity? Like Archvillain Games, Epic Miniatures, Lord of Print, Dragon Lodge?
where can i find the discount code for the website ?
the discounts are next to the welcome pack. You can find it in the patreon description, or by searching for the tag files.
Your patreon is amazing. I purchase files on your site as well. I'm sorry you're having trouble.
Luckily there are no problems, at least for now. As I said, it's didactic. Nor does it have anything to do with our approach as a lone sculptor might have to patreon. Just know that although 700 patterns may seem a lot, once we start making numbers, it's not that much. But it is an important amount that allows us a sustained growth and we thank you very much for it. But today we depend on patreon, and the sales that are made later on the web or kickstarter.
Hi! I'm new to patreon and this is my first place i am patroning (?). I became a patron because the hippogriffs were amazing. How do i get the STLs to make prints? :)
Welcome Normally from the 1st to the 15th of the month we cut the figures, make the supports and test them. The files are usually published on the 15th-16th. At the moment you have the wellcome pack if you want to print something. You can find it by looking for the files tag in the updates.
it's really great but i can not find the file to download

"have tried our best". Guys this month's release is incredible, both in quantity and quality of minis. You did not tried your best, you absolutely rocked!
This month we have been too ambitious. We almost didn't make it :) BUT I'M SO GLAD YOU LIKE IT!
Can't wait for those cavalries :) Will there be an option to buy files for the Queens Cohort that you have on your page?
This month's miniatures look absolutely fantastic. Absolutely amazing release!
You guys are amazing!the only thing you guys should add is a backup plan, such as my mini factory library. Would be much much appreciated
Of even the a link to the files hosted on the website that you can download whenever you want (like when you purchase on there). Lost Kingdom miniatures does a similar thing.
Un comienzo de año espectacular
Os ha quedado un mes precioso
