It's not original idea either. Other patreon company is releasing steam landship in October. It's kinda Spanish, conquistador themed.
Fortunately, starting from the same idea, the approach is different. He follows a line of hyper-fantasy 7 years ago we realized one thing. Whatever we do, there will be things we like and things we don't like. What someone likes the most, is what someone else will dislike the most. Our criteria is clear. We make the miniature we would like to buy. It's the only way to be really happy with what you do. Here every month we show you what we like. We give you some control of the releases, but we have to decide the artwork as we go along. There is no time for consultation and you would not agree among yourselves. And we know that the more literal the reference, the easier it is to reach people. But we don't want to be clones of anyone. In the long run we will see if it is a success or not.
Maybe you shouldn't have advertised it as a steam /tank/.
It is our version of what could be created in a realistic universe. What it does not pretend to be is a copy. We have said it many times. What we want to build has more influence from Witcher or LOTR than from GW.
Will there be an Armored version like a steam tank?
We are not going to copy a gw model if that is what you mean.

I don't like it. Was hoping for remake of classical GW steamtank.
Don't expect that because that's not the way we're going to go on almost anything. Its influence is undoubted, but in the medium term the aspiration is to create a unique world with its own elements.

Appreciate your time, because we desperately need a steam tank, but... It looks like a steam boat not tank. I prefer classical design of this mighty war machine. Fingers crossed it'll be a great model.

I really have to say, that this is the first design I find difficult to like at this early stage. Let's see how it looks in its final stage.
While I appreciate the theme is it not a wagon rather than a tank if it doesn't have plate armour?
And why? Leonardo's original idea was made of wood. The first tanks of the first world war reused chassis of ships or water tanks. The most logical thing for us is to reuse a structure that existed at that time. :)
