Last August Preview: Norman Fortress, Wild Bears and Space Legions
We are continuing our August previews with more of the miniatures and scenery we have been working on in the studio. This time, we focus on the additions for each of the three tiers. The Adventurer receives the first piece of the Norman fortress; The Bannerman adds two units of wild bears and two characters; and The Crusader introduces a command model and the Assault Squads.
The Adventurer
For The Adventurer, we are beginning the Norman fortress with Norman Motted Wooden Keep. This first release is a wooden tower built on a motte and designed for FDM printing.
The Bannerman
In The Bannerman, we are adding two units of wild bears: Wild Bear Running and Wild Bears Walking. One unit is running and the other is walking. Both fit Tsarstvo Leasir, and we think they will also fit really well alongside Wood Elf units.
In the character section, Winged Hussar Hero on Foot can command one of the Cossack units on foot.
Tsar on Bear represents the Tsar atop a war bear. The Tsarina is the supreme ruler of Leasir, while the Tsar is the supreme military commander and war leader of its armies. The composition of this miniature is far more elaborate than the previous bear-mounted characters.
The Crusader
For The Crusader, Solar Legion Perfectvs commands a Space Legions Tactical Squad. This command model can be equipped with plasma weapons, a Breacher rifle, an energy gladius, or a combat fist.
The Space Legions Assault Squads. They are fully compatible with the Tactical Squad already revealed. They have more dynamic poses and heavier armour. For equipment, they carry chain weapons and Breacher pistols, alongside additional options for plasma weapons, combat fists, and an energy gladius.
How would you use the wild bear units, and which equipment option would you choose for the Perfectvs? Let us know your thoughts.

The bears look great! More grizzlys than polar bears, which is fine for the army theme. Did you think of an "armoured" version? To be sent into the chaos of battle? As for the Solar Legion, the renders look maybe a bit rough sometimes, but they're definitely not bad (not my favourite type of figurines, but I can see the appeal. Makes me think of Sci-Fi gladiators somehow. Are those modular or single-pose only ?
Modular :)
