Doctor Who 12x05 Edited
Well, isn't this series full of surprises? First, we got The Master and now THIS... Not so sure yet that I understand how it all fits in, or where, but it's certainly very cool and mind boggling!
I think I prefer this series over the last one. It feels more epic, and that everyone has really found their feet. Such an interesting episode and what a surprise!

The Fugitive Doctor is so good! And the interaction of the two Doctors is great, too. Why are multiple Doctor stories always so fun? Love that drone camera shot circling the lighthouse as the Doctor climbs the stairs and out onto the balcony.
Have you seen the first Matrix? The scene in the Church just before Ruth kicks everyone's ass is like the bit in the film where Neo goes 'I know kung fu!' and Morpheus goes 'Show me' lol But yeah a brilliant episode, so much gets thrown at you and it's all so good. Also the breaking of the glass is basically like the fob watch the OG master used in Utopia and 10 used in family of blood. Ruth is amazing as the doctor btw, she crushed this episode. Also shout out to 'All ears' Alan, the biggest hater of all time! Hate someone enough to make a dossier and an insulting cake on them!
I've seen The Matrix a few times, though I must admit I think I end up falling asleep most times 馃ぃ I think the last time I stayed awake but honestly I don't remember much about it other than the cool fight scenes. This really was a great episode!!
This is a great episodes with lots of surprises. Good timing with this reaction as well as I'm currently reading a novel with the fugitive Doctor written by the actress who portrayed her, Jo Martin.
Oh wow, that's really cool! I love that she's writing her own adventures 馃槉
amazing episode, always fun to watch
I was very much looking forward to this one and I think it's one of the highlights of this entire era. I agree with you that this series is probably a lot better than the last. It's interesting that having wanted to keep the show accessible by having no returning characters in his first series in charge, Chibnall has now given us the Daleks, the Master, the Judoon (with improved facial animatronics) and Captain Jack in short order, with Jack's lines suggesting the Cybermen will be involved again at some point. Jack was a big surprise to be sure as his last appearance on the show was just over 10 years before. The highlight is naturally the reveal of this mysterious other Doctor, officially known as the Fugitive Doctor btw. There was a neat bit of foreshadowing when Gat referred to him as the faithful companion. I love that they left a lot of questions about who she is and where she fits into everything though if she is from the Doctor's past then I have to be a big geek and say that her TARDIS shouldn't be a blue police box, though it makes sense as a production decision to ensure audiences would recognise it as part of the reveal.
I never would have picked this storyline at all! I love all the surprises and twists and turns. Makes everything so interesting!
It's a shame that in the build up to this season when it first aired they kind of spoilt Jack's return but it was so nice seeing him again! also that revelation of the doctor finding out Ruth's true identity was certainly unexpected.
One good thing about being late is that I don't get spoiled 馃槄
The goat returns!!!!! Love this episode. Captain Jack is such a iconic character 馃槀
His voice is so recognisable 馃槄
