Ted Lasso 2x05 Edited & Full

The first time I watched this episode I caught some of the romcom references, but I didn't realise there were *this many*. And I probably still missed a lot of them this time.

This is definitely a standout episode, and definitely embodies the full spirit of the show. I'm so glad you took a chance on watching it even though I know it didn't seem quite in your wheelhouse on the surface.

This is a magnificent episode. It's one of my clear favorites, and on rewatches I tend to go right for it. It was my favorite of the whole series until a Season 3 episode just pipped it out (I'll mention when you get to it). Glad you enjoyed Rainbow.

Did you enjoy this episode Juliette? I couldn't quite tell if you did or not... 😛 Like you said, it's so great to see Roy back at Richmond as that's exactly where he belongs. The punditry is all well and good but actually being at the club, at training, in the locker room, etc, must be infinitely more rewarding for an ex-player such as Roy. It was good to see Nathan being more assertive and getting the table he wanted but the spitting was gross. I get why he did it, but, eww. I enjoyed the interaction between Nathan and the hostess, Jade. She has a quirkiness about her that I kinda dig, as does Nathan as demonstrated when he asked for her number (Denied! 📵). You mentioned the length of this episode being longer than usual and yeah, the episodes do get longer as the show goes on. I was watching them at lunch breaks during work and certain episodes were so long I had to watch them after work instead. I'm not complaining though because the more Ted Lasso the better right!?
