Perfect Days Movie Reaction
And here it is!! My first movie reaction in a long while, and it's something I hope to be a regular occurrence. I'm aiming for 2 movies per month if possible but I definitely won't beat myself up if life gets in the way sometimes. I should be able to do at least 1 and I'm going to try to watch the next one on Monday!
I've decided to start with Perfect Days as this one was recommended to me and as soon as I checked out the poster, I knew I wanted to watch it! The man seemed so happy!
It wasn't as long an editing process as I thought it would be, though there was little dialogue so maybe that makes a difference. For those following along, I clocked in at 3.5 hours editing, and with 2 hours to watch the movie that makes 5.5 hours in total for this reaction. I'll time myself with the next one too which will likely be more dialogue heavy, just to see if it's around the same.
I've decided not to upload a full version for this one, and perhaps for all movies going forward but I haven't fully decided yet. Movies are very long and I don't know if it's really worth it if I'm not reacting or saying something the whole time. The edited version keeps most of the story and interesting moments and reactions, so it's a good compromise. On top of that, halfway through this movie my black cat thought it would be a great time to "make a mess" and I had to stop the recording entirely to go and clean up said mess as it was a BIG mess. You honestly have no idea how insane that moment was 馃珷 I'm talking hosing off furniture outside, kind of insane. Cats, right?!
I hope you enjoy Perfect Days!

I'll put in another vote for preferring full versions of reactions. Please don't worry about long times when you don't say anything. That's fine, especially when we are watching the movie for the first time. I don't know how many times I've been watching a full Dr. Who reaction of yours, and somehow I wound up pausing the reaction video by mistake and continued watching the episode, until about 10 minutes later I realize you've been quiet for some time (and then I have tor resync and re-watch that 10 minutes). If I'm watching a movie or an episode for the first time, I want to watch the whole thing. I'm happy to watch an edited version if I am very familiar with the content. Just think of it like us watching the movie along with you as a friend, and we enjoy your reactions as we watch, but it's fine if you are quiet for long periods. Am I wrong in thinking that producing full versions is much easier than doing the editing for an edited version? Anyway, I'm just stating my preference, I don't want to make more work for you.
Thank you!! I really appreciate your insight. Sometimes I might underestimate how many people actually want the full version. I didn't realise they were watched as much as they are! I'll see if I can edit the full version and upload it tomorrow. It is much easier to edit, you are right! I usually edit it in 2 or 4 times speed so it would take me around an hour or so, and it's pretty relaxing for the most part 馃槉
Most of the time I would just watch the edit, because reactions are usually to movies I have seen. In this case, I have not seen or even heard of this one. So if you posted the full version I would watch along with you. I definitely would not watch an edit to a movie I had not seen. But this more applies to lessor known movies, and is probably not the general approach.
Thank you, Joe! It does seem people actually do want the full reaction so that has been really helpful to know! Is it worthwhile getting the edit done for this one? I could probably have it uploaded tomorrow! At least I know going forward and I'll upload them both together 馃槉
While I do prefer watching full reactions to movies/shows when given the choice, I'll happily watch edits if that's all that's available. Saying that though I always like to watch the full version of a movie/show before I watch an edited reaction, so as I've not seen this before I'll give the movie a watch and then I'll watch your reaction probably sometime tomorrow. I'm happy to hear the editing didn't take you too long. I know long editing times are one of the reasons you prefer tv shows over movies. Let's hope other movie edits come in at somewhere around that same time range! Thanks for the video Juliette. Hope you have a great day 馃挏
Ooh thank you for letting me know, Neil! Maybe the full edits are the better option for movies. I'm still working out what the best way is to do movies 馃ス I really hope you enjoy! have a lovely day yourself. It's my last day off until New Years Day so I intend to do a lot of relaxing 馃挏
