A Man on the Inside 2x05 Edited & Full

And it's Thanksgiving in the Nieuendyke (I spelled that without looking it up and I'm sure it's incorrect 馃槄) household! There's not much in the way of working on the case today, but I loved this one. Lots of character development, some surprising moments, and I adore this little group of people 馃挏

Thank you all for your patience as I had a little time off over Christmas! I'm ready to get back into 2 episodes a week of A Man on the Inside so there's just 3 episodes left before we start our new show... I'd better get cracking 馃ぃ

I figured Didi was romantically interested in Julie in the very first episode this season. I haven鈥檛 seen the rest of the season yet but I鈥檓 thinking I might be right! Great reaction, as always. I like a good emotional Thanksgiving episode.

Season 1 was a really hard act to follow -- but this episode in particular is an amazing emotional roller-coaster. Watching it the second time with you -- knowing where it goes, the episode's build-up to everything that happens -- is a very different experience than the first time.

I've always found rewatching things with fresh and knowing eyes is such a cool experience! You can pick up on so much more!

Thanksgiving in the USA is the holiday that evokes the most nostalgia for me. It is the least commercialized USA major holiday (if you ignore the start of the Christmas shopping season on the Friday afterwards.) It is a time of family traditions and a time to express gratitude for what we have (and share with others who might not be as blessed.) Absent the drama displayed in this episode and the million dollar view of San Francisco, it reminded me of the many Thanksgivings I had with my family. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins (and as time went on, spouses, significant others and eventually grandkids) gathering for a day or two. For my family, Christmas usually meant immediate family, not the extended crowd that showed up for Thanksgiving. Also, as most of my family lived in the northern portions of the country, travel in November was a safer bet than at the end of December. I am glad that Charles dumped the lasagna. Very few aluminum salts (the products of electrolysis in this situation) are safe to eat.

Charles dumping the lasagne was such a beautiful thing to do 馃槶 I mean, the blue and green stuff looked pretty, but I wouldn't want to eat it haha Thanksgiving sounds so lovely, but I've always wondered about the pressure of two huge family dinners so close together! As an introvert, I think I'd struggle a bit 馃槄 I love that your family found a way to differentiate the two. I think that would work out perfectly!

What a lovely episode with all kinds of heart, plus Apollo! Loved the insights into family traditions. Looking forward to whatever show is next. Curious if it has another Ted in it.
