I loved this episode 😭😭 it was incredible and so sad at the same time. I feel so torn between Helly and Gemma?! Is that normal?? I know there are two versions of Mark, but seeing Gemma like this... It's a lot...

The thing I love most about this episode: before now, "Gemma" only really existed in that abstract dead-wife zone a lot of movies and shows utilise; technically a character but really just an ideal for the husband/partner to further their story. This episode is so effective in making her an actual real person who's still alive and not just a shell, and someone we can absolutely root for as much as anyone (I punched the fucking air when she hit the doctor with the chair). In one episode! Up until this it was so easy to look at Mark and Helly as endgame material to make it out together, but then you watch this and think "fuck, now I care so much about Mark and Gemma!"
EXACTLY 😭😭 I feel so torn. I am rooting for both couples, but that's not possible?! The ultimate of mind games...
