Oh, I like this episode! It was just the right amount of creepy for me. I'm beginning to have a new appreciation for creepy stuff, especiall
Oh, I like this episode! It was just the right amount of creepy for me. I'm beginning to have a new appreciation for creepy stuff, especially with Doctor Who. I guess I just feel safe with him around... I know nothing will go wrong. So bring on the scares... Maybe 😋
Might I say, very nice special effects as well!!

Never really was a fan of the name the doctor gave to the creatures, but Rigsy was a nice addition to this episode
The speech very wordy, but Capaldi really growls it out and makes it work brilliantly. :D One little bit which amuses me is 12 saying to Clara "No, this is impressive. *This* is annoying!", and pointing at Clara. 🤣
This is my second favourite episode of this season Clara being the doctor was great and I love the ending, the doctor saying that goodness had no part in her being an exceptional doctor because throughout the season Clara has been critical of this doctor and his methods (sometimes rightfully so) but in this episode she got to be him and experience what he does daily and realise how and why he does what he does
I'm so glad it seems to be a well loved episode!
It's unusual for a new writer to come aboard and click so immediately with the show as Jamie Mathieson does in both this and "Mummy on the Orient Express". I particularly like the way in both episodes you get the sense that the Doctor has to work hard to first understand and then solve the problem, in a way more reminiscent of the classic series. Because the modern series tells most of its stories in self-contained single episodes, there's always a temptation for the writers to take short-cuts and have the Doctor already knowing everything he needs to know about the situation (two examples from last series: his convenient pre-existing knowledge of Skaldak the Ice Warrior in "Cold War", and his out-of-nowhere info-dump about Hila Tacorian in "Hide", both of which are there just to keep the story moving along at top speed). It takes skilful writing to make room for "working out" scenes without skimping on action or making the climax seem rushed. And yes, it's quite galling that Fenton (the stupid jerk guy) survives when so many others die. Presumably, the aliens refrained from flattening him out of professional courtesy towards a fellow two-dimensional character...
I loved both this one and Mummy, so it's cool to know they were written by the same person! Well done to them, indeed! Both episodes reminded me of sitting down and reading a book, getting lost in the story. I really loved this episode!
Mini Tardis, hand flapping Doctor never gets old! I feel like this is really where Capaldi's playful nature really shines, and I'm here for it.
Really good idea for an episode and it turns out pretty cool too, the boneless are quite well done and would interesting to see how this episode would look if done with today's CGI. It's only on rewatches where you kinda realise how dark this one is, like the insides of components of the people splayed out on the wall like that, it's pretty grim if you think about it. And obviously Capaldi was awesome as always, the way he does his comedic insults are so good, and then also out here giving kick ass speeches and banishing people like it's nothing as well, what a guy :p lol
I loved this episode! I thought the special effects were really cool and the story was great. It was nice to see Clara in charge (though, when is she not? haha) very good episode!!
I like how they include a bit of Mythic lore when The Doctor banishes the Boneless and naming them as he does. Makes the Doc feel like a true wizard at that moment.
Yes!! I wonder if he's named other things? I bet he has!
This is a fun episode. I love the itty bitty tardis, and the boneless are an excellent idea (and beautifully executed). It's also really interesting to see when Clara decides to take the call from Danny - and when she doesn't.
I thought it was really well done, too! I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed as well. I never know if they are going to be well liked episodes, but it seems this one has a few fans!
I do like an epic Capaldi speech, plus seeing him use his hand to move the TARDIS is brilliant. The comment at the end about maybe the wrong people surviving reminds me a little of Voyage of the Damned. It's interesting seeing the little teases of Missy we've had throughout the season, she's starting to look a bit sinister, as you thought she might be after her previous appearance. Somehow I doubt you'll expect what's really going on with her when they fully reveal it.
Capaldi is very quickly getting known for his epic speeches! He certainly is an impressive and imposing Doctor. Love him!
