Angel 5x6 The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco

Ahhh I really enjoyed this one, although it was a bit emotionally heavier and more sad than usual. A really deep story with meaning, and we finally get to know more about the masked mailman 😊

The scene in the hallway after the altercation is so well done, just hilarious 🤣

Curious going forward because I thought I remember the Pavayne episode being the last "ghosty" episode for Spike. So I've forgotten what happens with him.

RE. About Angel leaving, remember, he made a deal to work there in exchange for removing Connor's memories and giving him a real life, so perhaps, if he were to leave, that would be revoked, and he knows that, or at least is worried about it if he did that. /shrug

Great episode! We've seen the mailman going about his business in the background of previous episodes and you think that he's just someone the writers threw in as a W&H oddity, but here, we get to see the man behind the mask and learn of his story. Also, it was great to see him throw Angel around! 😂 Then we have the Shanshu element. If we are to assume that it's referring to either Angel or Spike and not some other random vampire with a soul, who is actually more worthy? Angel has obviously been doing good for a long time now, and has done far more good than Spike, but Spike is the one who actually went out and fought for his soul, was willing to die obtaining it, which is something Angelus would never do. The prophecy should have been a little more specific, maybe making reference to either a "Blondie Bear" or a vampire that 'has hair that goes straight up and is bloody stupid".

I was glad to see that you picked up on Wes' expression regarding, "The father will kill the son." He replied, "What are you talking about?" to Angel, but you were commenting at the same time. I was a nice little reminder of Connor's situation and the deal Angel made to run Wolfram & Hart.
