Doctor Who 7x12 The Crimson Horror
Quite a disturbing episode, and one that is full of surprises! I think it's put me off the colour red for a bit! As seems to often be the case with me, I do tend to find some demons on Buffy and Angel to be cute and this episode proves there doesn't seem to be any exceptions to that rule.
I even disturb my own self. I really do need help 🤣
The image from the thumbnail reminds me of those Olde Timey kind of photos you can get at amusement parks. Very nice!

I just came here for Strax yelling at the horse lmao. That scene is so funny. But yeah I think this is a really good stand alone episode where the other three got to do their thing, a very fun episode!
Jenny's fighting outfit is an homage to Diana Rigg's (who plays Mrs Gillyflower here) younger days. She was very popular as the female lead Emma Peel of the British 1960ies series "The Avengers" (no, nothing to do with the comic characters). Here's a photo of her in a fighting scene https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/ws/800/cpsprodpb/D5EA/production/_114326745_gettyimages-515302970.jpg
That's so cool! Thanks for sharing 😄
People do see Mr Sweet as being cute so there's nothing strange about that, and nor is he really evil as he's just in need of a host to survive. Also since no one seems to have mentioned it on here, Mrs Gillyflower and her daughter Ada were played by the real-life mother and daughter due of the late Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling and in fact the roles were written just for them. It's interesting to pick up on something you said about the process not working on the Doctor because he's an alien. Far too often it seems like they have the Doctor affected by toxins and other things in exactly the same way as the human characters so it's nice to have episodes that recognise how that often wouldn't be the case.
I can't remember the last time I watched this episode lol, but great reaction! Mr Sweet definitely has a cuteness about him, but I guess evil needs something to reel people in 😂 I completely forgot (and kept forgetting) to tell you about the time David Tennant was on the Catherine Tate Show. Since it has no spoilers, it doesn't matter when (or if) you watch it. Here's the link if you're interested 😊 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB1gB6K-2A It's quite funny. I know you're busy, so if you want to watch it by yourself instead of uploading a reaction, it's understandable. If you watch it, I hope you enjoy! 😊
Thank you for also thinking Mr Sweet is vaguely cute 🤣 I feel MUCH less weird now! Oh thank you so much for the link! I've not seen that video and I think I will LOVE it so much!! I've not seen much really of them apart from the episodes I've watched. It's the same with Buffy and Angel - I haven't been able to watch anything so that's something I'm excited for as well!
The writer Mark Gatiss has always done really nice back in time episodes. Series 7 always looks stunning
It is the best looking series so far, it's glorious!
The boy that gave directions, his name was Thomas Thomas - or Tom Tom for short. Tom Tom was the most popular satnav in the UK at the time this episode was made and still available today https://www.tomtom.com/
BAHAHA that is awesome! I don't think I've heard of Tom Tom, but I was on the right track with Google Maps HAHA
Night of the Doctor is also well worth a watch even if you don't do a reaction to it.
I've had a few people recommend that one, so I'd love to share a reaction to it. Also PS!
I always liked this episode, not really sure why but when this aired I liked it and it's a favourite of mine for this season since, As your moving towards the 50th anniversary episode (I won't say when it is) will you watch "An Adventure in Time and Space"? It's a film/documentary about doctor who's origins and how it became successful, you don't have to watch it but a lot of creators watch it as it came out a couple days before the 50th
I know very minimal about An Adventure in Time and Space, though a few people have recommended it to me! I'd love to check it out for sure, even if I just share here and not have to edit it down for YouTube 😸
