Unfortunately, the weather has taken a turn for the worse again. Earlier this month we were hit by Storm Kristin, one of the strongest storms Portugal has seen in recent years, bringing torrential rain, very strong winds and widespread disruption across the country.

Now, another storm system, Storm Marta, has been affecting the region with more heavy rain and worsening conditions over the weekend, making the situation in my area significantly worse and leading to continued flooding and difficult weather.

Please stay safe if you are also experiencing severe weather where you are — and thank you for all your thoughts and messages.
