Falling Undercover: Nox Syndicate - [Episode 08] Status Update
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! 🥳
We hope you all had a fun, safe start to 2026! ☺️
Things are back in full swing at the Azienda offices (our respective bedrooms/living rooms) and we are hard at work on Episode 08. Here is an update on our progress:
Writing: 70%
CGs: 5/6
Animations: 5/8
Additional Art: 2/3
Coding: 70%
Music and SFX: 50%
Proofreading: 0%
QA Testing: 0%
As we mentioned last time, we are currently planning to include eight animations into the episode, one of which is going to be particularly complex, so while things are progressing nicely, we still have a fair amount of work to do.
On that note, we want to follow up on our recent posts about the schedule. After taking some more time to reflect, and with your feedback in mind, our priority going forward is to make the episode exactly how we want it, without sacrificing the quality or quantity of the content involved, which means we will no longer be following the old schedule. That being said, we feel confident in saying Episode 08 is still planned for a January release.
We will keep you appraised as things continue to develop. Who knows… Maybe we’ll even have an art preview to accompany the next post!

Really good to hear that you will take the time you need to develop the updates in the quality and quantity you wish them to be. Really loved the last update, and hope that future installments can be of similar length.

The benefit of being an indie developer is that you don't have to strictly adhere to shareholders' deadlines. I think you're already doing a good job with putting out progress updates for your audience. They can form an opinion on if you're timely or not with transparent information and decide whether or not to support. Putting out that info will make it more likely you will get support and keep it.
