"Where is the NBA money coming from" Cord cutting Streaming has completely crippled the cable TV industry. Live sports broadcasts are the only thing that the cable TV industry has that streaming companies don't. This has led to every cable company engaging in a huge bidding war where nobody can afford to lose. Now even streaming companies are attempting to bid for sports broadcasts to prevent churn (people subbing for one month, watching all the content, and then quitting)
that's a good point. I'm wondering how the RSNs are going to survive. I feel like teams are way better off creating their own streaming services and charging than licensing to a local broadcast.
