I’m buying Zion stock and I think Dumars will be executive of the year with pelicans in playoffs
Zion has that pattern of playing 30 games then 65+ the next season too
Okay so I heard this about negotiations yesterday with my roommate, so a plug came by and bought 10 2g carts for $13 a pop, (while roommate was drunk and off xan), great deal roommate lost money on the sale, roomie hits the plug up letting him know it was gonna be at least $15 a pop next time and the dude thought he was gonna be getting a better deal despite the plug selling them for around $30-35 I assume, point is both parties of the exchange must have reasonable expectations and interests for each other for a successful negotiation and for future transactions
I feel like you have a range where you're both satisfied and then the rest of the negotiation is just for fun. also don't underestimate the value of maintaining a good relationship with your plug.
Ok Blazers fan here lemme break it down for you. Our GMs name is Joe Cronin, our fanbase is like 50/50 on him. He’s done a decent job but the Jerami Grant contract is definitely a blemish. It’s speculated he could be gone in the next year or two once the new ownership takes over but we’ll see. Ok in regard to the Dame situation, yes overall the fanbase is excited but idk if it’s winning a championship levels of excitement. Personally I see it more as Lebron coming back to Cleveland kind of deal. He’s our boy and the amount of time and work he put into the city and the community makes him a legend. Personally, I think Dame makes it through this contract and then retires or signs like a 2 year deal. It seems like he wants to spend more time with his kids and I’ve heard from a couple of Blazers pods that he might want to get into coaching so we’ll see. The reason why I don’t think he’ll leave is because coming into next year he’ll be playing with the best defensive squad he’s ever been with. We’ve got a lot of young talented guys that I think really help Dames game (Toumani, Deni, Sharpe, Scoot, Clingan). So I think overall it’ll be interesting to see how our young boys develop this year (hopefully get some playoff experience) and see where the team is as next year when Dame is healthy.
yeah, those are good points and I honestly don't know anything about the things Dame has done for the community in portland so I'll keep my mouth shut. I just think a better deal would have been 2 years 28 or no player option on the last year. Just from team stand point, it's too generous for Dame.
I think in a world where billions of people could be the receivers of any sort of blood money, someone is going to take the blood money no matter what you do. Maybe its not Ronaldo, but maybe instead its Messi who takes that deal, its just hard to believe that the Saudi government or any government would just keep their money domestically forever. So I guess the result of people taking blood money is really just a mathematical inevitability and the focus of people individually should be more so on how can we prevent more blood money from being created, however much ability one can have on that.
True. also a large portion of American oil comes from the Saudi's, if we exclusively got our oil from Canada it'd be too expensive for most of the states. If we started getting oil from Venezuala we'd be right back where we started from. Take the bag I suppose.
nothing 'woke' about being against saudi arabian blood money. i feel like the word woke has taken on a whole different meaning in america, the way you use it confuses me haha
Yeah the meaning has completely changed. In 2015 woke just meant aware of subliminal forces. In this context I should have said self-righteous
