As a Sixers fan, I have felt unsympathetic for Embiid, still am slightly to PG. However, the Embiid hate is misdirected. Yeah, he's hurt a lot lately and goes down when no one is looking but he's put his body on the line for the team. 2023-24 playoffs, he played through injury. Granted he should've sat out or been forced by the team to sit out the Olympics. He also could've been quiet about playing back to back which is the most recent fuel to the Embiid hate fire. The actual problem is our front office, has been this way for years. Like who tf thought signing a mid 30 year old, injury prone, lackluster star to a max contract was smart. I'm enjoying these podcast.
That's how I feel too. I'm not really a sixers fan, but I kind of am. I heard the rights to ricky guys talk about that article that just came out and I don't really know what to make of it. Like Embiid has experienced tragedy, so it makes him above criticism? Very strange I'm sure Embiid is a good dad and husband, but it feels kind of irrelevant from anything basketball fans would be concerned with. Embiid is moody and mysterious, big whoop. of course I didn't read the article lol
Blazers fan here, from what I’ve seen on the subreddit and social media, Dame returning home is basically the equivalent of LeBron coming back to Cleveland. Like I think it would be hard to find a blazer fan mad that our boy is home.
