Updates 6/27

Back from Stafford FDCT.

Just hit 4000 followers on Patreon and almost at 4000 on instagram. Thank you to everyone subscribing for the release of this track, its gone through major overhauls almost every day leading up to the event. Redesigned all trees, walls, and implemented my own starting lights that work both solo and online. Happy that FD chose the proposed layout, it turned out great. At the event I was asked by FD officials to take a drone photo of the final layout, so that allowed me to recreate the actual zones and lines and everything that i updated in the 0.991 release. There are still things left to do like add all trucks and trailers and merch tents in the pits, as well as about ~30 FD flags. Ive taken hundreds pf photos of everything, but its a slow process to put it all in AC. Im still deciding on it as flags and extra objects can really bog down fps. At the end of post I will attach bunch of photos from the event as my main task at FD is media.

It was cool to see my track being run at FD on all SimHQ simulators on Assetto Corsa:

At the time of writing Ive published Stafford Motor Speedway v0.992 version with nicer night lights, banners and start gate:

Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

I am actively working on it this whole week, planning to release L3 dev version in next couple days. Im planning to drive to Indianapolis in a week to collect more detailed data and furnish the visuals. The surface is pretty much ready just need to scan it in person to see if there are any specific bumps or cracks that can be felt through tires, but overall its pretty smooth and Lidar 3D data was sufficient. Still deciding on surface color, this place has 4 seasons and grass changes color like crazy, but I bought a few commercial aerial textures and will see what it will look like during actual FD event.

Car updates:

I dove into making better aero data and that allowed me to change tire data because the aero was quite off. So I updated both aero and tires on all currently published 2026 cars - Branden Sorensen, Amanda Sorensen, Ken Gushi, Conor Shanahan, Luis Lanz, Dima Brutskiy and also Nick Noback BMW (2025). Cars feel better in my opinion. I still think the tires are a bit overgripped comparing the run times and also Ive been experimenting with Wally data and converting them to local replays and the newest tires still outpace the IRL data, although just very slightly, still obviously they're not final, but big step up from previous tire model enough so I had to update all the relevant cars. I still dont like how they tent to have too little side grip at slow speeds at high lateral slip angles, but i have ideas how to fix that. Right now it seems the only solution is to lift throttle when spinning out so forward grip is just eating too much from the friction circle. Ive been experimenting with CX_MULT but its quite destructive overall to address the little nuance.

Branden's and Amanda's cars also have slight engine adjustments.

Found my 3D scanner! It was in one of our trailers, i dont even remember bringing it there but i had stressful couple months so i guess i did 🤖 So I rescanned Brutskiy's car (it has issues) and scanned cars of Luis Lanz, Collete Davis and Jhonnattan Castro. Will work on them when I have more time to recode the suspensions and cars in general.

Audio - still struggling with it. All the mics get blown out when being close to exhaust. And too far from exhaust theres just too much reverb and it sounds muddy. So I pulled the plug and bought the most expensive mic that movies use for recording cars - DPA 4062. Its tiny. Easier mounting, but hope i dont destroy it as the diaphragm on these mics is very fragile.

Some photos from Stafford FD on my camera:

Also Brutskiy got 1st place and Camren got his first 3rd place so we all got on podium 🙌

Thats it for now. If you have specific requests or suggestions - drop them here in comments or in Discord. Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it!
