Preferred ruleset?
Hey guys, I'm thinking about the different rulesets I've been using lately, and I was wondering: which one do you prefer?
- The one from Across a Thousand Dead Worlds, Empire Undying and the (hopefully) upcoming Under Ashen Skies: D20-based, roll a D20, add the skill modifier, and if the result is 20+, it's a success. I call this the Thousand Worlds Engine.
- The standard D20 ruleset from Sacrifice or Path of the Aram Thyr. Familiar and comforting, easy to use and to make stuff for.
- The D100-based system of Broken Shores and Riftbreakers. My personal favorite!
I don't know what I'll do moving forward, but this type of information is always useful. Thanks for answering!

D100 system, I also pick up some big RM inspiration from it at times :)
Haha one day I'll make a RM clone and you'll drown in crit tables.
I think I enjoyed the D100 system more. It felt really fleshed out and complete. However, my vote goes to the traditional D20 system as I think it has the potential to attract a larger audience since it's more familiar due to games like DnD and Pathfinder. Plus, there's something undeniably satisfying about rolling high numbers.
Thanks for the feedback! I wholeheartedly agree with you in both things.
