Update - 10/08/2026

Hello, and welcome to another weekly update! I hope you all had a great weekend. I spent Friday working as usual, even though it was my birthday, because I celebrated it on Saturday. I had friends come over and got some really cool manga and games as gifts (including a custom MtG commander deck, which is just evil because I swore off Magic years ago and this is going to make me fall down the rabbit hole again...), and then we played one of the games I got, which is a silly drinking card game that we had a lot of fun with.

In other news, I now have a cat! We found her fucked up on the street so I decided to rescue her, now that with the new apartment I have space for her. For now she's in my sleeping room closed, until she gets used to me (she's quite feral), but aside from being super skinny and scared to death, she seems to be in good health. I'll take her to the vet as soon as I see she relaxes a bit, I don't want to scare her even more. She is really thin, and must be around 6 months old. Adorable! I'm going to call her Nimue, I'll share photos as soon as I have a decent one, right now it's just a scared ball of hair at the back of a box...

last week was extremely busy with lots of issues with couriers and getting ready for the Machine Gods distribution. I'm afraid I really fucked up: I told the printer we only needed 100 copies. That was the original plan, but then, due to high demmand I changed my mind and told them to make 200. Or so I had thought. Turns out I didn't, so they're ready to ship me the 100 Boxed Sets when I found out, just in time. Now we have to wait til September for them to come back from vacation before they can start printing the remaining copies... Still, we should be able to have everything distributed in October, as promised. I just wanted to get over this part of the campaign ASAP so I can start planning the one for Broken Shores 2e.

Speaking of Broken Shores, I have of course made good progress with the remaining content, and the exploration chapter is shaping up nicely. I've changed the exploration procedures completely from 1e, and they are much easier to follow now. The riuns exploration procedure is quite simple now, but it has much more content and things to find, so I think it's a net positive. I've also started the process of talking to Standart Impressa, the folks who did Across a Thousand Dead Worlds, and get them ready to print 1000 copies of the book for the Kickstarter. I think I'll try to launch it in October, or maybe even late September. I need to talk to Games Quest.

So this week it will be full focus on Broken Shores, and little else! I have decided to stop on the Book of Horrors for Ker Nethalas until I'm done with this, I need to focus and wrap it up! I'm so eager to try it out, haha.

So that's it, have a great week!
