Update - 01/06/2026
Hello, everyone! And just like that, we're already in June, I can't believe it. This year is passing by so fast, I feel like I haven't done anything... I have so many plans, and time just keeps running away from me!
I hope you all had a great weekend, I actually went out with friends on Saturday night, so it was nice. Aside from that, I was working, as usual. I'm still working on the Noxian Reclaimers layout, and fixing tons of little typos and errors that you guys have spotted (thanks Blastershift!) in the three available books. I don't think a book can truly be edited to completion, these fixes just keep coming up, and each time I think it's the last one, haha.
I finally got the Kickstarter funds, so I've paid both Richard and Simone for their work so far in Machine Gods. I will still have to pay them for the upcoming work (Simone has to work on the Noxian Reclaimers and Meridian Sovereign art once those two books are done, and I will need Richard to help me finish the writing for Meridian Sovereign, once I jump back into it). I guess I totally suck at making financial estimates because I will run out of money and will have to pay for the last two books out of my own pocket. I made 35.500€ in the Kickstarter, and I got 30K after the fees from Kickstarter and the payment processor (5% each). To those 30K, I must discount 9.500€ that I will have to pay to the tax office. That leaves me with about 20K. I just spend 10K paying Richard and Simone, and 4K are actually funds collected from the shipping, so that leaves 6K to pay for the printing... I'm not terribly worried, though, because the three first books will go for sale next month, most likely, and I'm hoping they'll do well. I will also have a few extra Boxed Sets left for sale, once it's all done, so I should be able to get another 2K from those. All in all, I'm happy with how the campaign went, and I see it all as an investment in the future of a game that has a lot of potential.
This week, I'll be working on more Machine Gods, although I'll sneak some Book of Horrors here and there. I want to share with you guys a few pages either this week or the next one, so you can see the direction I'm going with it. Any chance patreon members can get an early shot at those box sets? I missed the campaign because I hadn't yet discovered you but I would happily buy a box set and would love to be able to secure one without having to race the market.
I will definitely try to do so, yes. I'm changing the shipping process and I'm going to start working with GamesQuest, so I can't personally set boxes aside, but I will let you guys know first once the extra copies go up for sale, before I tell anyone else.
I feel you’ve had a great first half of the year. It might not seem like much when you have such ambitious plans, but I love what we’ve gotten. The grandmaster content is insane. Hope you can squirrel away some funds to actually pay yourself with the next big kickstarter 🤞
