Weekly Update - 13/04/2026
Hello, and welcome to another weekly update! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was okay, I suppose. On Friday I saw my sister, who lives in a different city so I rarely get to meet her, and on Saturday I had a wake for the mother of a good friend that passed away recently. Ups and downs, I suppose. I did manage to get some work done, as usual, and The Array Thicket is looking good! I cannot wait to show it to you guys later this month.
I've been slowly moving things in the background regarding the Machine Gods Kickstarter, and I am now waiting for my printer to let me know if I can actually afford doing what I want. I thought that it would be really cool to have the core rules released as a nice, hardcover edition, and have a sturdy box so you can put all your Machine Gods books inside. I think it's the best compromise: we get a nice hardcover edition, a cool box, and then all future releases will remain as PoDs, so I don't tie myself into a cycle of having to make offset copies of every future expansion, which I know wouldn't be realistic. I know boxes are quite expensive to produce, though, so let's see what they say!
In other news, DTRPG finally approved the Ker Nethalas core book for print. I ordered my proof copies, and now it's just a matter of waiting! I'm usually super happy with how DTRPG handles things, but this time around they really dropped the ball. They told people that it was fine to order hardcovers, and then it turns out that no, some hardcovers are also affected, which means people got fucked up books. All this leads to more refunds (because they weren't offering exchange copies for this), and since those come entirely from my own pocket, I expect to lose quite a bit of money this month with all this. On top of that, they've been quite hostile the whole time; only the last email I got from them was actually helpful and nice, as they usually are.
This week I'll just focus on The Array Thicket; I'm finally at the section of the book that deals with the actual exploration of the forest, so it's exciting! After that it's just the bestiary, and the book is ready to go.
That's it for now, have a great week!

I am happy to hear you were able to connect with your sister and condolences to your friend about the loss of his mother. I'm sorry about the DriveThru frustrations and I'm hopeful that they remedy those errors for both you and the buyers without just defaulting to penalizing you and your pockets. Sending good vibes and well wishes to you and all members of the Order. Let's have a great week.
Thank you for your good wishes! Have a great week!
