Faster Gameplay in Ker Nethalas
Although I personally enjoy the pace and granularity of Ker Nethalas, I understand that some people want things to move along a bit quicker. So I present you a couple of house rules to play Ker Nethalas quicker, or as I like to call it, "Quick Nethalas" (I'll show myself out).
Combat
Initiative: Roll D10 and add it to your Perception; roll another D10 and add it to your opponent's Mind. The highest wins.
Ignore Hit Locations. For armor purposes, assume that all regular, successful hits land on the creature's largest mass, such as the "Chest" or "Abdomen" for humanoids, or the "Body" for serpentoids.
Increase the base damage of all attacks (both yours and your opponents') by +2.
Exploration
All doors are open and don't have traps. You only check for locked or trapped containers, and traps can still appear as a result of an event.
I assume a lot of you already do this, but skip the room and corridor descriptions.
So that's it! What do you think? What other ways of streamlining the game can you think of? Please comment!

Cool to see these rules! Awaiting my copy of KN and will give the original rules a go, but will definitely consider these suggestions. Thanks Alex!
Glad you like them! They're very basic changes but they make the game play faster.
I like testing changes, so I'll keep that in mind. I love to see how game systems tick.
Awesome!
Nice of you to offer this alternative but not for me, I keep the original gameplay!
Haha you never know!
