Every time I would have enough of Rachel and Ross's drama, they throw in a scene like this, such a heartfelt, beautiful scene with the two of them, not dramatic, not passionate, but sweet, full of understanding each other and being comfortable around each other. The whole episode shows how both of them still care, but their timing and inability to admit their deepest feelings makes it impossible to be together. Joey and Ross's scene was so beautiful too! Joey may be slow sometimes, but he has an emotional intelligence that is showing more and more as the show progresses forward. He is really a great friend.

One thing I really love about the Ross and Rachel interaction on the steps, is when Ross says, “Wait until your baby grabs your finger.” It’s special bc when Ross asked his Dad when he first felt like a father, his Dad said it was when he first grabbed his finger with his little hand.

When Ross told Rachel about the baby grabbing her finger for the first time, it was throwback to season 1. Before Ben was born, Ross was scared of being a father. So, he asked his dad for advice and he told him about how Ross grabbed his finger for the first time. Later in the episode, they took Marcel to the hospital and Marcel grabbed Ross's finger. So, now, he told that to Rachel - "wait until your baby grabs your finger for the first time" 😊

Seeing you discuss Rachel and Ross's on again off again on again off again on again is so funny lol. You've analyzed and interpreted their feelings so accurately. I understand how annoying it is they wont just make a move w/ eachother or discuss their feelings and not assume things. But then taht wouldnt make for an annoying rom com / sitcom trope would it? lol. Also, I'm still so impressed at how they staged and greenscreened Phoebe and Ursula every time. It was so smooth how Ursula exited the restaurant and walked past Phoebe and how Phoebe turned to greet her.
