So i thought might as well comment since im pretty early and you and others can still read it. Also i plan on ending on something you could say is possible so i do hope you dont hand wave this comment away and actually read it and possibly even reply so you can let your supporters know that you DO at the very least listen to concerns. Im at a point where i think youre honestly trying to scam your patrons. I have kept my mouth shut for almost a year but i think it might be time to say something. The last real update on steam was 20 august LAST year. I bought and finished the game pretty quickly. Its not a long game so i thought this was your early acces product that you dropped and would update either monthly or for BIG updates yearly. So after finishing i could honestly say i loved it and looked you up on patreon to maybe support you. Then i saw that you already was pretty close with the update or so (Maybe november december ish) so i thought id wait and buy a membership after the update. Then December came around and i saw that you expected a january release but early feb would also be possible. I held my breath for January but as it went and came i just waited for some time into february. Then the whole months of february was basically radio silence until the very end where it would take some more time because story mode was gonna be part of this update. At this point i didnt like the lack of communication but hey shit happens so i didnt think much of it. Then march came around and if i remember correctly the update was about 95% finished which i thought was weird considering the aim for january but still, delays happen. Then april came around. Again problems and again no update in sight but we got a promise for a "firm eta". Not even the eta itself but the promise that the eta will be announced at a date in april i dont remember anymore. April 13 i think. Which went an came with no eta nor a post explaining it. April 27 also had something if i remember correctly? A release for testers or something but that was also missed. At this point i grow wildly skeptical so started looking at the steam updates and i saw that it was like a YEAR of development you had between 0.4 and 0.5 which barely added content so now i start to grow even more scared because that means that this new update would also add just a couple days IF LUCKY. But anyway i ignored it and thought, maybe you had some problems in that year so fuck it. This was also the time where i started to not regulary check the patreon anymore because for a supposed jan release to now may delay was getting tiresome. In june i checked back in again and saw that testing had begun. I finally thought you were actually still working on it but then july came around and you got divorced. I had thought that by that point you would atleast have finished the update but no, now youre homeless and cant work. Normally id say that you hit a tough break but after so many months i started speculating if this wasnt yet another excuse to not release it. Then august came around and youre back again. Party all around and youre getting back into the fold but you have to see what you have done first because not everything was finished which i thought was highly sus considering june you suposedly started testing but hey lets see where it goes. Then we got another post in august where you ask for money for a gpu. It wasnt dire but any help was great. Here i was already a bit pissed off because if you had just updated the game you would have had more sales and more patreons but no, you ask for money but dont deliver a product. So i gotta admit that i didnt donate a single thing because here i thought you were already scamming by either having created nothing yet or was just pushing the release time and again to avoid doing too much while still earning patreon. But then late august you start got a wake up call. Someone called you out and said it exactly. You ask for money but if you would just release you wouldnt have to ask for more money because you would earn it. You started posting regularly to my surprise and altough i did think that you purposely kept the release away all this time i thought you might just have learned that this is not okay and started letting go of the breaks. But then the posts slow down yet again proving it was not a change of heart but maybe dare i say a tactic to keep people paying. Then last thursday we got yet another "testing this weekend" Followed by radio silence for the week and instead of the update it is yet again you asking for money but this time it IS dire because you cant develop anymore? I thought you were testing already but now there is still work left? Was there even testing all these months or was it just empty words to keep people paying? Notice how this isnt even the full timeline because some apology posts or update posts were locked behind paywall so there are probably quite some more "incidents" i havent seen despite the essay i just wrote. But i promised to end on a high note as a thank you for reading so far. This game has the POTENTIAL to become one of if not the biggest avns and this is not me blowing smoke up your ass. The renders are great quality but the animations? Damn they are s tier. Best in the genre BY FAR. Atleast compared to the games i played. Your animations blow BeingADiks out of the water and thats saying something because he is good. Ofcourse story wise the game isnt great, atleast not so far, but the characters really are great and you can get attached to them which is difficult for any game to achieve. I personally think that if you start to actually put the gas on your development times and not slow walk it you could probably come very close to drpinkcakes revenue because he may have the story but you have the animations so it balances out a bit. Should writing improve to his quality then you will be on top of the genre but if you keep it where it is now and just improve dev times i think you can still come pretty damn close. Anyway i do hope you read this and if you do i would appreciate an acknowledgement so others do see that youre taking this seriously. That was all i guess. Have a great day!
